By evening you cannot say which of it started with you
By the end of an ordinary day you are carrying a state whose origin you could not trace. Neptune in Pisces in the 12th house is the most concentrated version of this, since modern practice gives Neptune rulership of Pisces and the 12th house is the same territory again.
Traditions differ on how much weight to give a planet in its own sign, and this site treats it as intensity rather than as good or bad fortune. What it means in practice is that the permeability has nowhere to be balanced from — it is the medium rather than one feature among several.
An interior with no shoreline at all
Ask where your inner life ends and the honest answer is that it does not have a boundary you could point to. Other people's states, the atmosphere of a place, things read and half-remembered all become part of the same weather. It produces genuine reach and it means you have never had the ordinary experience of a self with edges.
Dissolving accepted in place of resting
What you reach for when depleted is not rest but disappearance: sleep beyond what you need, absorption in something, occasionally substances, anything that removes the effort of being a separate person. It works briefly and it is not restoration. Rest with a form in it — a walk of known length, a fixed hour, an actual practice — does what dissolving cannot.
What gets in while you are not attending
Material reaches you without any decision: other people's difficulties, the mood of a building, whatever was in the room. Because none of it arrived deliberately, none of it is labelled, and by the time it surfaces it feels like your own. Ask, daily, whether the state you are in has an origin. It is a small question and it recovers a great deal.
Give the whole thing a form and keep to it
Structure is the missing element rather than depth: a practice with fixed times, a routine, something with rules that somebody else designed. It will feel like a constraint on something that is meant to be free. That constraint is exactly what carries you through the long stretches when nothing arrives, and those stretches are most of any interior life.
You need more sleep than anybody finds plausible
The amount of rest your system actually requires is larger than the people around you will believe, and describing it invites the suggestion that something must be wrong. Nothing is. Establish the number by experiment over a fortnight and then defend it as a working condition, rather than negotiating it downwards each week according to what other people appear to manage on.
The larger part of your life has been interior
Most of what has happened to you has happened where nobody could see it: the states, the perceptions, the long stretches of a rich and unwitnessed inner existence. That is a real biography and it leaves no record at all. Put some of it into a form — writing, music, images, a person who knows — because an unrecorded life is difficult to hold on to in a bad year.
You need days with nobody in them and cannot say so
Your requirement for solitude is larger than almost anybody around you will find plausible, and describing it sounds like a rejection, so you tend to withdraw without explanation instead. Say the quantity out loud: this many hours, this often, not about anybody. Framed as a specification rather than as a mood, it stops being taken personally.
The house had a weather system and you were the instrument
In the household you grew up in, you registered the state of every person continuously and without being asked, and you were doing it before you had any words for what you were doing. That reading is still running at every family gathering, decades later and largely unnecessarily. Nothing there requires monitoring now. Notice when the scan begins and let it stop halfway through.
Work that runs on something you cannot show anybody
What you contribute professionally comes from a perceptual capacity that has no name on any job description and cannot be demonstrated on request. It makes you valuable and impossible to assess. Find one person in your working life who can see it and let them describe it in their own words. Their account is the version that other people will actually understand.
