The career is where the whole thing is aimed
Leo is where your Jupiter learned its manners and the 10th house is where it spends them: public standing, a role with your name on it, work that is unmistakably yours. Anonymous employment slowly closes you down. What this needs is a position where the responsibility matches the visibility.
Authority arrives without your having to construct it. People assume you are in charge, defer before it has been established, and hand you the front of things, and that has been true since long before you had any evidence to justify it.
A reputation that keeps expanding
Your name travels further than your actual record, which is an enormous advantage and a standing liability. It has opened rooms you were not ready for and you have generally been ready by the time you arrived. Work has to be attributable to be worth doing
Effort that disappears into a collective output demotivates you far more than sheer difficulty ever has, and you have quietly disengaged from at least one good project on exactly those grounds. That is a specification rather than a fault to be corrected. Settle the attribution before you commit, because it cannot be raised afterwards without sounding aggrieved.
Standing has to be maintained once it exists
Having built a position, you now have to keep it, and that obligation is heavier than the building was: the appearances, the standard, the inability to be seen having an ordinary year. Nobody warned you. Decide which parts of the maintenance actually matter, since a good deal of it is being performed for an audience that stopped watching.
Generous with the people underneath you
You promote, credit and champion the people who work for you, and several careers exist because you said something in a room they were not in. That loyalty is repaid for decades. Keep doing it and say it to their faces as well, because the sponsorship happening out of sight is invisible to the person receiving it.
They are proud, and it is complicated
Your family talks about what you do to other people and finds it harder to talk about with you, and the pride has quietly become a distance. Some of them also feel measured against it. Ask one of them about their own work with genuine interest, since the gap here closes from your side or not at all.
You cannot be seen taking a bad week
Because the role depends on being visibly capable, you push through periods where anybody else would stop, and the recovery is taken privately and late. That arrangement holds until it does not. Book leave in advance rather than when you need it, because in your case needing it is exactly when you will refuse to take it.
Ask for the role that carries the name
Titles matter to you more than you admit and there is no reason to pretend otherwise, since in your field they genuinely change what you are able to do. Negotiate for the designation as hard as for the money, because a position that lets you speak for the organisation is worth several years of incremental salary.
You have never asked for less than you thought you were worth
Unlike most people you are entirely comfortable naming a large figure out loud, and it has worked out more often than it has failed. The exposure sits on the other side of the ledger: you commit to a standard of living that assumes the figure keeps climbing. Fix your costs against last year's income rather than this year's, since the confidence is real and the market is not always.
You want to be remembered for something
The wish to leave a mark is not incidental to your ambition; it is the engine underneath it, and dismissing that as vanity has never made it quieter. Decide what the mark is meant to be, in concrete terms, because an undefined version of this can consume a career without ever being satisfied.
