The job keeps outgrowing its own title
An Aries Jupiter working out of the 10th house hands you a working life that keeps outgrowing whatever it was called last year. A settled position sours on you quickly. What this needs is a direction with room above it, and one record showing what you actually finished.
Advancement reaches you through nerve rather than through seniority: you take the role before the case for it exists and make the case afterwards, in front of everybody. That has worked repeatedly. The exposure is that everybody also watches the attempts which do not.
Known for what you were willing to take on
Your standing rests on the jobs nobody else wanted at the moment they were offered: the rescue, the launch, the department everyone had written off. It is an unusual reputation and it travels well. Make sure at least one of those has a documented outcome attached, because nerve gets remembered and results are what get quoted.
The plan goes public early
You describe what you are going to do while it is still an intention, partly because saying it out loud is how you commit to it. That creates momentum, and it creates witnesses. Give the date to two people rather than to a room, and keep the room for the version that has already happened.
Seniority that has not earned it
You take direction easily from anybody visibly better than you and badly from anybody who is merely earlier. The distinction is real, and it has cost you at least one otherwise good position. Decide what you can learn from the person before you decide what you think of them, and keep the two questions separate.
An audience working from old information
Because you move where people can see it, some who barely know you hold firm views about your judgement, several of them years out of date. There is no answering all of it. Do one piece of work each year that is unmistakably yours and unmistakably finished, and it corrects more than any explanation would.
The next role is a conversation, not an application
Your moves have generally come through somebody who watched you handle something, not through a process. The written version of you has never been the persuasive one. Your working life therefore depends on being visible while doing the work rather than on describing it afterwards. Put yourself in one room a quarter where the people who make appointments can watch you think.
The standing costs money before it pays
There is an overhead attached to being visible here: the travel, the clothes, the things you fund yourself in order to be in the room at all. You pay it early and recover it later, which works while the trajectory holds and stings in a flat year. Keep six months of that overhead in its own place, so a slow stretch never forces you to look smaller than you are.
You need somewhere to be going, visibly
A life without a direction other people can see goes flat on you in a way that private contentment does not repair. That is worth accepting rather than arguing with. Keep a stated ambition even through the years you are not chasing it, because here the direction does more work than the arrival ever does.
The friends who knew you before the title
Standing sorts your circle without consulting you: new people arrive because of the role, and older ones step back to avoid appearing to want something. Neither group is behaving badly; both are simply reading the role. Both movements happen quietly. Keep three from before, and take them the conversations where you do not have to be the competent one.
They hear about it from other people
Your relatives often learn what you are doing after everybody else, because the work absorbs the announcing and home receives the summary. By the time you mention it, the thing has usually been settled for weeks. It reads as distance when it is only sequence. Tell one of them first, occasionally, while the thing is unfinished and could still go wrong.
