The body is treated as equipment
You maintain yourself functionally rather than kindly: enough sleep to work, enough food to continue, exercise regarded as an obligation. It is effective and it is joyless. You would rather be indispensable than liked
Given a choice between being needed and being popular you take the first without hesitation, and it has worked. The exposure is that nobody advocates for a person they merely rely on. Build one relationship at work that is not about competence, since sponsorship comes from people who like you and reliance comes from everybody else.
They rely on you and do not include you
You are consulted about everything and invited to very little, because your seriousness makes you look like somebody who would decline. Nobody has actually asked. Say yes to the next informal thing, since the exclusion is a misreading rather than a judgement and it is entirely correctable from your side.
They have stopped expecting you before eight

Ask them plainly what they would want instead, since the absence of any objection has been taken by you as the absence of a cost.
The pay was set once and never revisited

Reliability is not the same as advancement

That is the specific trap of this arrangement. Ask once a year for something you have not done before, since nobody will offer to disturb an arrangement that is working perfectly well for them.
