The feelings you never brought out of the room
The 12th house is where your Cancer Venus keeps most of what it feels. The attachments are strong, the tenderness is real, and a large proportion of it has never been said to anybody, including to the people it concerns.
Partly this is protectiveness: saying a thing exposes it. Partly it is an old assumption that your feelings are an imposition. Neither is quite true and both have been operating for a long time, which is why so much of your inner life has an audience of one.
Loving people who are no longer here
You go on caring about people after they have left, died or become unreachable, with the same intensity and no outlet at all. This is not something to be resolved. It is worth giving somewhere to go, though: a letter written and kept, a date marked, an hour set aside, so that the ongoing affection has a shape instead of leaking into ordinary weeks.
Care given where nobody sees it
Much of what you actually do for people happens out of view: the relative visited, the money sent, the arrangement made quietly. Your friends have an entirely incomplete picture of how your week is spent. Tell one of them the true version, not to be relieved of anything, but because being unknown in this way is its own slow cost.
You take on the mood of any room you enter
Other people's feelings arrive in you uninvited and you cannot always tell them apart from your own. In a difficult household or a tense workplace you will be carrying things that belong to nobody near you. Name whose it is, deliberately and often. It is a small habit and it is the main thing standing between you and a permanent low weather.
Solitude is where the tenderness recovers
Being alone is not withdrawal for you; it is how the capacity to care gets rebuilt. Without it you become thin and easily hurt, and with it you can absorb a remarkable amount. Arrange it in advance and defend it plainly, since everybody around you has learned that you are available and will not think to ask.
Still attached to somebody long finished
An old relationship, or an affection that never became one, is probably still occupying real space, and it has grown quieter rather than smaller. That is allowed. What is not useful is measuring current possibilities against a version of somebody you have been maintaining privately for years, which nobody standing in front of you can compete with.
The relative you look after and never mention
There is often somebody whose care you have taken on largely alone: the visits, the calls, the arrangements, none of it discussed outside the family. Friends have no idea. Say what your actual week contains to two people, since a caring role conducted in secret gets heavier at exactly the rate that nobody notices it.
The work whose results belong to somebody else
You do well in roles where the point is somebody else's outcome and your part is invisible: support, care, preparation, the thing that made the visible thing possible. It suits you and it has no built-in recognition. Keep a private record of what you actually did, since without one the years blur into a sense of having achieved nothing.
Paying is easier than turning up
When somebody you love is in difficulty your first move is financial, and it is entirely genuine and also considerably faster than the alternative. Money can be sent without your being present. Ask which one is actually wanted before the transfer goes, because more than once the sum was accepted and the visit was the thing that would have counted.
What you absorb has to be put down somewhere
You take in other people's distress and store it, and it does not leave on its own. Talking helps a little; physical discharge helps more, and being outdoors alone helps most of all. Put one of those in the week as a fixed appointment, because at present the only mechanism you have is waiting for it to fade, and it does not.
