The doubt nobody would guess you carry
With Venus in Capricorn in the 12th house, the composure everybody sees has something underneath it that they do not. There is a private and fairly relentless sense of not having done enough, and it is entirely unaffected by evidence to the contrary.
Alongside it sits a considerable tenderness that almost never gets out. You care a great deal more than your manner suggests, and the gap between what you feel and what is visible is one of the defining facts of your life.
Duty performed where nobody sees it
A large share of what you actually do for people happens unwitnessed: the relative supported, the obligation met, the arrangement handled quietly. Your friends have an incomplete picture of how your week is spent. Tell one of them the true version, since a lifetime of unwitnessed responsibility is heavier than you have allowed yourself to notice.
Softness kept behind the formality
The reserve is not the whole of you and it is all most people ever meet. Those who have seen underneath describe somebody quite different from the person your colleagues would describe. Let the gap narrow slightly in one relationship, since maintaining two versions of yourself is work that nobody is paying you for.
Solitude is where the account gets settled
Time alone is how you process, review and put things down, and without it the private assessment runs continuously and unopposed. It is a working requirement rather than a preference. Arrange it deliberately, since everybody around you has learned that you cope and will fill any space that appears.
An old standard still doing the judging
The measure you hold yourself to was set a long time ago, probably by somebody else, and it has never been reviewed or renegotiated. It is not obviously yours. Write down what it actually demands, since a standard that has never been examined is impossible to satisfy and easy to mistake for your own conscience.
There is far more feeling than ever gets out
What you actually feel about the people closest to you is considerably larger than anything you have expressed, and they have been working from the visible portion for years. That is a real loss on both sides. Say one thing wildly out of proportion to your usual register, to one person, and let it be awkward, since awkward is the only available route out of this.
You override the signal every time
Tiredness, pain and low mood are treated as things to be worked through rather than as information, and you have a long record of continuing when you should not. The internal signal has been suppressed for so long that it is unreliable. Use external markers instead, since a calendar entry is the only instruction you consistently follow.
The thing you wanted and never mentioned
There is something you intended to do before the responsibilities arrived, and you have never spoken about it because it would sound self-indulgent alongside everything you actually carry. It has not gone anywhere in the meantime. Say what it is out loud to one person, since a private ambition that has never been spoken cannot be assisted by anybody.
Nobody thinks to check whether you are all right
You are the person others rely on and therefore the person nobody asks about. Your manner offers no evidence that anything might be wrong, so friends who would gladly help have never been given a reason to. Say the plain sentence to one of them, that this has been a hard year, since it is the entire piece of information they are missing.
You have been carrying it since before you can remember
The sense of responsibility here usually starts early and in a household that needed it, and it has never been formally handed back. Look at where it came from once, plainly. Understanding the origin does not remove the habit and it does make it possible to decide which parts of it you still want.
