Doing it properly is the enjoyment
Virgo earth in the 5th house means play arrives through craft. What other people get from spectacle you get from a technique coming right, a skill improving, a thing made to a standard nobody else would notice. You need a pursuit with real difficulty in it and something to get better at.
This is why undemanding fun leaves you restless. A holiday with nothing to learn and nothing to practise is not a rest for you; it is an absence of the thing that actually restores you.
The work behind it is the part you like
Rehearsal, drafts, the eleventh attempt, the hours nobody watches: this is where your pleasure lives, and the performance is almost an interruption. Protect the practice time as the point rather than as preparation. Where a hobby gets turned into an obligation to produce, it stops working here almost immediately, and the usual sign is that you have not touched it in a month without knowing why.
You will not show it until it is right
A great deal of what you make never leaves the room, because the standard is internal and the standard is high. Some of that is integrity and some of it is fear wearing a work ethic. Test which: pick one finished-enough thing and show it to one person whose judgement you trust. The result is usually information rather than a verdict.
Courtship conducted with care
Romance here is attentive rather than dramatic: you remember, you notice, you prepare, and you rarely make a grand gesture. Some people will need this explained, because the absence of theatre reads to them as an absence of feeling. Say what you are doing and why once, and the same behaviour becomes unmistakable afterwards.
Children need you to get things wrong out loud
Around children you are patient, practical and genuinely good at teaching, and the risk is a standard they cannot meet. What helps most is being visibly imperfect: attempt the thing badly in front of them, laugh about it, carry on. That single demonstration teaches more than any amount of instruction about how to keep going.
Attention as the main romantic language
What you offer is being noticed accurately: what they actually like, what they said in passing, what they need before they ask. That is a rare and substantial form of love. Add one unnecessary and slightly embarrassing gesture a year, because thoroughness is not the whole of romance and everybody wants some of the other thing.
Sell to the people who can tell
What leaves your hands is recognisable to anybody who knows the field and invisible to everybody else, which settles the question of who your clients should be. Offering it to buyers who cannot see the difference means competing on price against work you consider unfinished. Find the ones who can tell, charge them accordingly, and accept that this market is smaller than the one you keep being advised into.
Movement with technique in it
Exercise sticks here when there is something to improve rather than merely to endure: form to refine, a skill, a measurable practice. Choose that kind and avoid regimes built on effort alone, which you will abandon around week six without ever deciding to. Progress you can measure is the mechanism that keeps you turning up, so pick something with a number in it.
The parent who teaches things
Children near you learn how things work, how to fix them, and how to be patient with a difficult task. That inheritance lasts. What needs adding is unstructured time with no lesson in it at all. Play with a purpose attached is still work to a child, however enjoyable you make it, and the hours they remember are usually the aimless ones.
Letting it be finished
The long practice is release: giving the thing to somebody, calling it done, allowing it into the world with its flaws visible. That will always feel premature. Decide the finishing condition before you begin, write it down, and honour it when you get there rather than renegotiating with yourself at the end.
