Count the things you fixed that nobody asked about
The number is large and none of it was noticed. Virgo at the tail in the House of Work and Health is the sign of usefulness sitting in the room of usefulness, which is why competence arrived complete and has never had to be developed by anybody.
That doubling explains why being useful has never felt like a choice. It is the resting state. The capability is genuinely exceptional and it means the version of you that is not currently required by anything has almost no history.
The groove is a task appearing on cue
Whenever something larger, vaguer or more uncomfortable comes into view, a small fixable job presents itself and gets completed beautifully. The work is real, the timing is not accidental, and the whole sequence is completely invisible from the inside. Entire seasons can pass this way with an impeccable record of things attended to and the larger thing untouched.
What the accuracy is actually worth
You see the error before it happens, hold a standard without being asked, and keep systems running that would otherwise degrade slowly. Prevented failure leaves no evidence behind it, so the value is structurally invisible to everybody including you. It is nonetheless the reason several things around you have worked steadily for years without anybody being able to say why.
People stopped offering to help
Because your standard is met without assistance, offers of help have been politely declined enough times that they stopped arriving. Colleagues and family both concluded, separately, that you prefer it this way. From their position that is a perfectly reasonable reading, and it has left you with a great deal of work and no collaborators at all.
Say the sentence and let it stand
Pisces stands across from it, where the interior is kept, where the growth is being present with nothing required of you. There is a line worth using, without a qualification after it: I am not going to get to that, and it will have to be fine. Say it, then stop. The silence afterwards is the whole exercise.
Monitored closely, trusted rarely
You track your own signals with real accuracy and interpret nearly all of them as problems requiring some action, so vigilance has gradually replaced the ordinary experience of simply inhabiting a body. Keep the sensible routines and stop the daily assessment entirely for a fortnight. A system that is not under continuous review behaves differently, and the difference shows up within days.

Colleagues come to you when something needs checking and rather less often when something is being celebrated, because you were long ago categorised as reliable rather than as company. That category was built jointly, over years, by both sides. Say yes to the next badly organised social thing at work and stay to the end of it. Presence at nonsense is the only thing that shifts a category.
Days made of small completions
Your satisfaction comes from tasks finished, which produces a steady and slightly narrow supply: a great many small closures and very few large ones, because large things resist being tidied at all. Start one undertaking that will take three years and cannot be closed off at the end of a week. Working without regular closure is unfamiliar rather than beyond you, and the difference matters.
Service in place of the other thing
At home your contribution is practical and constant, and it is considerably easier for you than the unstructured business of simply being in a room with people. The tasks are entirely real and they are also somewhere to stand while the evening happens. Spend one evening at home with nothing whatever completed. Being present without producing is the harder half, and it is the half they want.
The rate never matched the reliability
You are paid for the role rather than for the failures you prevented, and a failure that did not happen is unbillable by its nature. That gap widens every single year you remain both excellent and quiet about it. Document what your standard has saved, with figures, and present it once a year. Evidence is the only argument this particular case has ever responded to.
