The audit runs where nobody can enter
You are lying awake going over a conversation from three years ago, correcting it. Pluto in Virgo in the 12th house puts relentless correction in the hidden part of the chart, so the assessment runs continuously in a place that nobody else has access to and nobody can interrupt.
The Virgo half is a fact about when you were born rather than about who you are, since Pluto colours a whole span of birth years identically. The 12th house came off the clock that day. It turns the correcting inward and out of sight, which is why colleagues would call you easy-going while you hold yourself to a standard nobody else has met.
What installed it
There was a household where something needed watching and a child took on the watching, or a standard was set that could not be reached and was never withdrawn. What transferred was the process rather than the subject. It now runs on the only permanently available material, which is your own conduct, reviewed retrospectively and without limit.
Material with no action attached
On things that cannot be corrected. A conversation from years ago, a decision that cannot be revisited, somebody who is no longer available to apologise to: your instrument keeps working on material with no action attached. Ask whether there is a step available, honestly, and if there is not, treat that as the finding rather than as a failure.
Forgiving of everybody except one person
They meet somebody tolerant, forgiving of other people's mistakes and notably undemanding about how anything is done. That impression is entirely accurate and it sits alongside a private standard that would genuinely alarm them. The asymmetry is invisible from outside and you have never mentioned it. Say once to somebody close what you actually require of yourself, since being told is the only route by which anybody could find out.
A standard you can live beside
You will not lower it and you should not try, because it is the source of the quality you produce. What is available is a boundary: when the review happens, how long it runs, and what is closed by rule rather than by resolution. Set it in writing, since an unbounded process expands to fill every quiet hour you have.
Worry that arrives without a subject
Unease turns up first and then goes looking for something to attach itself to, generally in the body, and the searching feels like sensible vigilance rather than like part of the problem. Digestion and sleep carry it. Set a fixed daily slot for the reviewing and close it by the clock, since this process is bounded by structure and by absolutely nothing else.
Nobody knows the standard you hold
You are judged by others as competent and by yourself as consistently falling short, and the gap between those two assessments has been in place your whole adult life. Only one of them has evidence behind it. Write down what a reasonable person would conclude from your actual record, and read it when the review starts.
You replay the evening afterwards
After any social occasion you go back over what you said, in detail, looking for what landed wrong, while nobody else in the room has given it a second thought since. The review is entirely one-sided and it has never once produced a correction anybody needed. Give yourself a single pass and close it by rule, since without a limit one conversation occupies a week.
You are hardest on yourself here
In a relationship the assessment runs on your own conduct rather than on theirs: what you should have said, whether you were adequate, what you got wrong. Partners are unaware of any of it. Say one thing you are worried about out loud, since it exists only in a room they cannot enter and cannot therefore be reassured about.
The voice doing the correcting is borrowed
The standard you hold yourself to arrived from a specific person, in a specific register, and you have been running it internally for so long that it now sounds like your own judgement. It is not. Say aloud to one safe person whose voice it actually is, since a borrowed process that has been named stops being able to present itself as fact.
