Most people belong; you dissolve into it
Most people join a group and remain themselves inside it. You take on its mood, its priorities and its way of talking within a few weeks. Pluto in Pisces in the 11th house removes the boundary between you and the collective.
Millions were born while Pluto crossed Pisces and every one of them carries the same setting, so that half describes an era and not a person. The 11th house came off the clock on the day you arrived. It aims the porousness at community and shared hopes, which is why movements have carried you and left you in roughly equal measure.
The test is keeping your own position
Inside a group you cannot easily locate what you personally think, because the collective view arrives faster than your own and feels entirely indistinguishable from it. That is the recurring difficulty rather than an occasional lapse of attention. Write your position down before the meeting begins, in one line. Afterwards you genuinely will not be able to reconstruct what you thought when you walked in.
No resistance for anybody to meet
People experience you as unusually accepting, which is accurate, and a few of them recognise that there is no resistance to encounter and take what is available. You rarely see the second kind coming. Watch what somebody does across three months rather than how they seem in a room, since your instrument reads the second and not the first.
The cause holds you, not the people
What binds you to a collective is what it stands for rather than who is in it, which is why you will give enormous amounts to a group with a purpose and almost nothing to one without. The switch between the two states is abrupt rather than gradual. Check which condition you are currently in, since historically you have worked it out about six months after everybody around you did.
What a cause needs from you
You can carry the feeling of a collective in a way that its organisers cannot, and that is a real function with no title attached to it anywhere. It needs a boundary drawn around it: hours, scope, what you will not take on. Draw it at the beginning, since this kind of work goes on indefinitely and nobody involved has any reason to suggest a limit.
The circle expands until you cannot hold it
You do not close your circle, so it grows to include people you barely know and situations you never agreed to, and the obligations accumulate without any of them being decided on. Nobody imposed this. Decide who you are actually available to this year, in a short list, since the alternative is being slightly available to everybody.
You do the collective's emotional work
In teams and professional groups you absorb the tension, notice who is struggling and hold the atmosphere together, and none of it appears in any description of your role. It is real work and it exhausts you invisibly. Name it with one specific example at your next review, since nobody in the building will name it for you.
What you want is hard to make concrete
Your hopes for the future are real and formed as feeling rather than as plan, so they resist being stated and therefore resist being pursued. That is why decades pass with the sense of something not yet begun. Write one line about what you want and one concrete step, since the feeling will not convert itself.
Money leaves through the group
Contributions, covering for somebody, the thing you paid for that everybody enjoyed: within your circle money moves out of you in small unrecorded amounts, and no single instance is worth mentioning. The total is not visible anywhere. Look at one year of it, privately, purely to see the figure rather than to change anybody's behaviour.
You take the weather so nobody else has to
At gatherings the difficult atmosphere ends up inside you rather than in the room, and everybody leaves reporting that it went well. The transfer is automatic and it costs you the following two days. Notice it happening at the time and name whose it is, silently, since the naming is the only boundary available and there is no other one.
