The climb doubled, with nothing to dilute it
First you understood that positions are held by people who last, and then you organised your entire working life around lasting. Pluto in Capricorn in the 10th house puts the sign in the house it governs, so ambition and structure arrive as one subject.
Pluto spends years in a sign and about two hours crossing a house, which is the difference between these halves. The Capricorn tone belongs to everybody arriving in that long window; the house was fixed by the minute of your birth. Doubled like this, there is no version of your life where your standing is a background matter: it is the load-bearing subject and everything else is arranged around how it is going.
A warning about people who slip
There is a story behind you about status: something lost, clawed back, or held onto at cost, and it was transmitted as a warning rather than as history. You did not inherit the circumstances, you inherited the rule drawn from them. It has been running your professional caution ever since under conditions that no longer resemble the original.
Where the climb jams
You cannot stop, because no position has ever produced the feeling that you have arrived, and each one is reclassified as the base for the next within about a month. Senior people forget you are new to it

Arriving, and then what
You will get there, later than you wanted and considerably more solidly than anybody predicted. The question nobody has asked you, including yourself, is what the position is actually for. Write the answer down while you are still climbing, in specific terms and with names attached. A summit reached without one simply becomes somewhere to be defended for another twenty years.
You are given the thing nobody else will hold
The failing division, the impossible brief, the responsibility everybody senior has quietly declined: these arrive at you and you accept them, and several have made your reputation. They also take years off you. Ask what you get in exchange before accepting the next one, in specific terms, since the assumption is currently that you will take it regardless.
You are the one who made it
Your position is treated within the family as a collective achievement and as a resource, and both readings arrived without anybody consulting you. Requests come to you and offers do not. Correct the picture once with a plain sentence about your actual circumstances, and notice how much was resting on an assumption nobody had checked.
The whole thing is one long undertaking
You have been executing a single plan since you were young, and the consistency is genuinely remarkable and has never once been reviewed against what you now want. Take a week this year to ask whether you would set out on the same road today, since twenty more years of it will otherwise be decided by momentum.
Ownership rather than being well paid
However high the salary goes it will not settle this, because the thing you actually want is a position that keeps paying after the work stops: equity, a practice, property, something with your name on the deed. Move one piece of your income towards ownership this year, since being excellently paid by somebody else is a different arrangement entirely.
Nothing is allowed to interrupt the climb
Physical problems are treated as scheduling obstacles rather than as information, and you will work around one for years rather than let it cost you a position. The joints, the teeth and sleep hold the record of that decision. Give one thing a proper course of attention this year, at the cost of something professional, since the exchange has never once gone the other way.
