First somebody met you head on
First there was a person who would not back down, and then you understood what you actually wanted from a relationship. Pluto in Aries in the 7th house puts raw force into one-to-one bonds, so partnership for you has never been a calm arrangement and calm has never held your attention.
The Aries half is not personal to you: it belongs to a birth cohort covering many years, since Pluto colours that whole span alike. Your birth time supplied the 7th house, and that is the individual half. It means the force is aimed at the person opposite rather than at your own character, which is why the most decisive things in your life have arrived through one other human being.
Who was there before you learned this
Somewhere early there was a pairing you watched, or were part of, where one person dominated and the other disappeared. You drew a conclusion about what happens to whoever yields. It went in before you could evaluate it, and it is still deciding how you enter a room with anybody who matters to you.
Where the force goes between two people
Into the question of who is steering. Every significant relationship you have had has contained a genuine contest about direction, and you have been the one who escalated at least as often as the other person. That is not a fault to be apologised for. It is the material, and it is workable once you can see it happening.
Read as combative, running on engagement
Partners frequently experience your directness as an attack when what you intended was undivided attention. To you, arguing with somebody is a form of taking them seriously; to most people it is the opposite signal entirely. That mismatch has ended at least one thing that did not need to end. Say the proposition out loud early in a relationship, because you have been demonstrating it for years and nobody has been able to decode it from the evidence alone.
What a fair fight actually requires
Two rules, agreed while nobody is angry: what neither of you will say, and how the thing ends. Without them you will win arguments at the cost of the relationship, repeatedly, and be genuinely puzzled by the outcome each time. The rules feel unnecessary when you set them and they are the entire mechanism. Agree them with whoever matters most this month, well in advance of the next occasion that needs them.
Whoever can hold their ground
You lose interest in people who give way and you exhaust the ones who do not, which narrows the field considerably. The person who lasts is neither: they hold their position without needing to defeat yours. Look for that specifically rather than for intensity, since intensity you can generate on your own and the other thing you cannot.
You learned who you are by colliding
Nothing has taught you as much as an equal who refused to give way, and most of what you know about yourself was found out in the middle of a disagreement rather than in reflection. That is an unusual route and it is genuinely effective. It also means you have very little practice at learning anything from somebody being kind to you. Let one person be gentle with you this year and take the information seriously.
You need an opponent, not an audience
Your best work has come opposite somebody: a rival, a demanding client, a partner who pushed back hard. Alone you drift. Arrange for a genuine counterpart in your working life rather than waiting for one to appear, because the quality of your output depends on it far more than the subject does.
Joint money is where it gets tested
Shared finances become the arena for the power question quickly, and arguments about money here are almost never about the amounts. Agree the arrangement in writing while things are good, in plain figures. It removes an entire category of contest and leaves you both arguing about the things that are actually the subject.
Somebody in the family you go at directly
There is one relative you have never softened with, and the two of you have been conducting the same encounter for decades. Both of you are more attached to it than either would admit. Change one thing about how you enter it next time, and see whether the pattern was ever really theirs.
