Most people pace the week; you attack it
Most people distribute their effort across a week. You go at whatever is in front of you until it is finished or you are. Pluto in Aries in the 6th house puts raw force into daily work and the body, so the routine that suits other people has never been available to you.
Millions share the Aries setting, because Pluto colours a long run of birth years the same way and none of that is about you. Far fewer share the 6th house as well, which was fixed by your birth time. That is the personal half, and it aims the force at ordinary working days rather than at anything visible: the intensity shows up in how you handle a Tuesday, not in your job title.
Where the force goes at work
Into whatever is blocked. You are drawn to the stuck task, the broken process, the thing everybody has been stepping around for a year, and you will go at it directly while colleagues watch from a safe distance. That is genuinely useful and it is also the reason routine maintenance quietly rots in your hands: an unblocked task does not register as work at all.
The point where it jams
On repetition without resistance. A week of identical tasks with no problem in them produces irritability that you will attribute to the people around you. It is not them. Build one difficult thing into every week deliberately, since without it the force will find something to fight and the something will be a colleague.
How the pace reads to colleagues
They see somebody who works at an uncomfortable intensity and either cannot or will not slow down, and some of them experience it as pressure whether or not any was applied. You are frequently unaware of this. Ask one colleague directly what your working pace is like to be near, and take the answer without defending it.
An engine with one gear needs a load
You cannot idle, so the useful move is choosing the load rather than waiting for one to be assigned. Take the difficult project on purpose, at the start of the quarter, before the boredom starts generating conflict as a substitute for challenge. The choosing is the entire difference between being the person who is effective and the person who is exhausting to work near.
Sent in where something has stalled
Turnarounds, backlogs, the department nobody has fixed: you are effective in these because you will start before the plan is complete and you do not need the situation to be pleasant. Steady-state roles waste you and you will damage them. Ask specifically for the stalled piece rather than waiting to be offered it, since nobody hands those out.
Ordinary days are the actual test
You are excellent in a crisis and unreliable in a fortnight of nothing happening, and life is mostly the second one. That is the real work here rather than any dramatic challenge. Build something into ordinary weeks that you actually want to do, because the alternative is manufacturing a crisis to make the week interesting.
Paid by output, not by attendance
Your working pattern produces in bursts and hourly arrangements consistently underpay you for it. Any structure tied to results rather than to time will suit you better and you have probably never asked for one. Raise it at the next opportunity, with a specific proposal, since employers do not offer this and will agree to it more often than you expect.
Colleagues are either allies or obstacles
At work you sort people quickly into those who move and those who are in the way, and you are rarely wrong and frequently premature. The ones you wrote off in the first month included some who would have been useful. Give one person a second assessment this quarter, deliberately, and gather new evidence rather than reviewing the old.
You handle the practical emergency
When something goes wrong for your relatives you are the one who moves, arranges and gets it done, faster than anybody else would. What you do less well is the long unglamorous stretch afterwards. Stay for one of those, and let somebody else be efficient while you sit through the part that cannot be solved.
