The terms say you will not do it the usual way
Written as terms, this reads: you will not be able to work the way it is normally done, and you will keep discovering that the hard way. Pluto in Aquarius in the 6th house puts the refusal to standardise into daily work, so the ordinary shape of a job has never quite fitted you.
The Aquarius colouring is inherited from the period, not from you: Pluto crosses a sign over decades and everybody in that window carries it. Your birth time placed it in the 6th house, and that is the personal half. It means the deviation is in your method and your routine rather than in your beliefs, which is why the friction shows up in how you work rather than in what you say.
The test is the arbitrary requirement
The situation recurs: a rule at work that serves no purpose and cannot be changed. Complying feels like a small surrender and refusing costs more than it is worth. There is a third option you rarely use, which is complying without argument while quietly building the better version. That is where your influence actually comes from.
Read as difficult, running on method
Managers see somebody who will not follow the agreed process and file it under awkwardness. What is true is that you can already see where the process fails and have designed the replacement in your head. Show the replacement instead of resisting the original, since a worked proposal is received in an entirely different register from an objection, even when the content is identical.
Waste that everybody has agreed to live with
On inefficiency that everybody has agreed to tolerate. A step that exists because it always has, a form nobody reads, a meeting that decides nothing: these occupy you out of all proportion, and you will fix them whether or not it falls within your job. That is real value being handed over untracked, week after week, to an organisation that has not asked for it.
The method is the contribution
Wherever you have worked, the way things are done afterwards is different, and almost none of it appears in your record. That is the actual thing you provide. Document one change with the time or money it saved, since a system improvement with a number attached is the only version anybody outside can see.
Your day does not fit the standard shape
You work well at hours other people find strange and badly at the hours everybody agrees on, and years of forcing the conventional pattern have cost you sleep rather than produced output. Arrange the work around your actual rhythm where you can, and stop treating the mismatch as a discipline problem, because it is not one.
Roles that do not have a name yet
Your best positions have been ones that did not exist before you arrived, assembled out of what needed doing. That is genuinely how you work best and it makes you hard to place through a standard hiring process. Approach the people rather than the postings, since the role you want will never be advertised.
Free, and slightly outside every structure
You have arranged a working life with unusual autonomy in it, and the price is that no institution is holding any part of you: no pension by default, no colleagues by default, no progression anybody is managing. Choose which of those to replace deliberately, since the ones you do not choose simply remain absent.
Income shaped like nothing recognisable
Your earnings arrive in a pattern that nobody in your family would describe as a job: several sources, uneven timing, arrangements that need explaining. It suits you genuinely and it accumulates absolutely nothing on its own. Automate one transfer so that the accumulating happens without requiring your attention, because your attention is elsewhere and always will be.
They cannot explain what you do
Relatives have never been able to describe your work to anybody else, and over the years that gap has quietly turned into a distance neither side mentions. Explain it once, in the plainest possible language, with no irony and no shortcut. It is a small courtesy and it removes something that has been sitting between you for a very long time.
