Pick one and say it out loud. With the North Node in Sagittarius in the 1st house, who you are is supposed to have a direction attached: a declared interest, a commitment people can name, a version of you that is going somewhere. You need one answer that does not include several options.
Being able to become several things has been the point of staying undefined. It has also meant nobody, including you, can say what you are actually doing.
Say what you are doing, singular
Start with the introduction: choose one thing to say when people ask, and say only that for six months. Not the full list, not the qualifications, not the other projects. It will feel inaccurate because it is incomplete. Incomplete and definite is the version other people can act on, and completeness has been costing you.
Choosing one feels like losing the others
Naming a direction closes off the alternatives you have been keeping warm, and the closing is the part that hurts rather than the choosing itself. Notice that the alternatives were not being pursued either. You are giving up the possibility of them, which is genuinely a loss and is a good deal smaller than it feels.
Somebody people can send things to
What accumulates is gravity: once your direction is legible, the relevant opportunities, introductions and problems start arriving because people know where to put them. Nothing much arrives for a person whose interests change every year, however capable that person happens to be. Twelve months of giving the same answer changes what turns up considerably.
Adding the second half of the sentence
The retreat is the qualification: you name the thing and then add the caveat, the other interest, the acknowledgement that you might not stay. It sounds like honesty and it quietly dissolves the statement. Say the first half of the sentence and then stop. The silence afterwards is the whole practice and it lasts about two seconds.
You are what you kept choosing
Identity here comes from repetition of a choice rather than from a decision made once: the same field, the same question, the same direction returned to across years. Look back and find what you have picked up more than three times. That is the thread, and it is usually visible long before you are willing to name it.
Be known for something, not for everything
You are interesting to a wide range of people and memorable to almost none, because there is no single thing anybody associates with you. Choose one enthusiasm and let it be your known quantity for a year. Being the person who is into that particular thing is a better social position than being generally interesting.
Commit to one field for five years
Professionally your range has been an asset and a permanent ceiling: you can do many things and nobody can say what you are. Choose a field and give it half a decade without a lateral move. The competence you already have will compound for the first time, which it has never had the chance to do.
Say what this is
You keep relationships flexible and undefined, partly from honesty and partly because definition forecloses. The other person has been reading that as ambivalence, which it partly is. Say what you want this to be, in one sentence, without leaving the door open. Definition is what allows a relationship to build rather than continue.
Back one thing rather than sampling everything
Your money is spread across small positions, half-finished ventures and things you were interested in for a while, which produces no concentration and no returns. Choose one and put real weight behind it for five years. Diversification is a strategy; a scattering of small bets you stopped attending to is not the same thing.
