Your growth has an address and it is the ordinary conversation
Your growth has an address and it is the ordinary conversation. With the North Node in Leo in the 3rd house, the practice is speaking as yourself: a story told with you in it, an opinion offered warmly, a message that sounds like a person. You need one exchange that is unmistakably yours.
Your speech has been accurate and unattributable — the sort of thing anybody reasonable might have said. Nothing is wrong with it except that it does not come from anywhere.
Tell the story instead of the summary
Start by putting yourself into ordinary accounts: not what happened, but what happened to you — where you were, what you thought, how it went. Then let one message carry your actual voice, jokes and all, rather than the neutral version. Both are small, and both mark the difference between being informed by you and hearing from you.
Talking about yourself feels like taking up room
There is a specific reluctance around first-person material: putting yourself into the anecdote seems self-centred, so you keep the story and remove the narrator. In practice people find an unnarrated account harder to listen to. Tell one story this week with yourself in it and watch how much more attention it holds.
A voice people would recognise anywhere
What accumulates is style — a way of putting things that is identifiably yours, in writing and in speech. It is not decoration. It is the reason some people's messages get read first and their explanations get remembered, and it develops only when you stop removing yourself on the way to being clear.
Retreating into the general statement
The slide is abstraction: the personal example is replaced by the principle, the anecdote becomes an observation about people in general, the warm sentence gets edited into a correct one. Catch it in writing, where it is visible. Any sentence that could have been written by anybody reasonable is the one to rewrite.
Be memorable in small exchanges
Your day contains dozens of brief encounters that you conduct correctly and forgettably. Put one thing of yourself into each — a preference, a joke, a real answer to how are you. It costs no extra time. Within a month the same people who nodded past you will start conversations with you instead.
Learning what you actually think
The long thread here is discovering your own position by saying it. Reading, comparing and weighing has produced a great deal of knowledge and remarkably few opinions you would call yours. Say one first-person view a day, out loud, and note which ones you find yourself defending. Those are the ones that were real.
Be the one who tells the family stories
Somebody has to carry a household's stories, and in yours the job is vacant or held by somebody who tells them flatly. Take it. Tell the funny version at the next gathering, with detail and affection. Families hold together on their retellings, and the person who does the retelling ends up at the centre of them.
Held-in personality is tiring in a specific way
Presenting a neutral version of yourself all day requires continuous small editing, and the bill arrives as a heavy flatness in the evening rather than as ordinary tiredness. The test is simple: after a day of speaking freely you have energy left, after a day of being appropriate you do not. Run the comparison once.
Flirt like somebody with a personality
Your approach is considerate, well judged and completely deniable, which means nobody can tell they are being chosen. Warmth is the missing element rather than boldness: say the specific admiring thing, let the message carry some heat. Being unmistakable is more attractive here than being appropriate, and it is far less exhausting.
