Interested in everything, committed to nothing
Anyone who talks to you would say you are interested in everything and committed to nothing in particular. With the North Node in Sagittarius in the 3rd house, the assignment sits inside your most fluent arena: ordinary conversation has to arrive somewhere. You need one exchange that ends in a conclusion.
The South Node sits in Gemini in the 9th house, so even your beliefs have been collected rather than held. This is the crossed cut: practise conviction in the arena built for browsing.
Finish one line of thought
Start by taking a single question all the way rather than across: one subject, followed for three months, until you can state a position on it. Then say the position out loud to somebody who might disagree. The exercise is arriving at an end point, which your usual mode never requires. Breadth will still be there afterwards.
The people who have never heard you commit
Everybody around you enjoys talking to you and none of them could report what you think about anything important. That is a specific kind of absence. Tell three people one view you actually hold this month, without the counterweight. They will find it more interesting than the survey, and they will remember it.
Depth is not the loss of curiosity
You will hear an instruction to stop being interested in everything and refuse it, correctly. The curiosity stays. Your professional contribution is usually to bring the options and let others choose, which is useful and stops you being accountable for anything. Say what you would do, once per meeting, and put your name behind it. The recommendation carries you further in a year than a decade of excellent briefing has.
Follow one question for a decade
The long thread here is depth achieved by staying: a single question you keep returning to across years, in different forms. Your instinct is to move on the moment a subject stops surprising you. Choose one that would still interest you decades from now and let it be the one you never leave.
Tell them where you stand
With relatives you keep it light, informational and non-committal, which avoids conflict and means nobody knows you. Say one thing you actually believe at the next gathering, without the balancing clause. It will produce a conversation rather than an argument, and the conversation is the thing that has been missing for years.
Decide what you are aiming at first
You have no target for the body, only a rotating set of methods, which is why every comparison between them is unresolvable. Name what you actually want — to lift something, to walk somewhere, to sleep better — and then judge any method against that single question. Without a stated aim there is nothing for a method to be right about.
