Mercury in Libra in the 6th House (House of Work and Health)

Libra says how Mercury shows up; the 6th House says it happens in daily routine, work, body and health. Put the two together and you have the placement as it sits on a chart.

The work is mostly about the people in it

Your Mercury speaks Libra and does most of that speaking in the 6th house, which means the daily job is inseparable from the colleagues doing it. You solve the task and you also solve the room, continuously, and the second one takes at least as long.

It makes you effective in almost any team and it means an unpleasant one costs you disproportionately. The work itself is rarely what makes a job unbearable for you.

Your workload was never actually agreed

Tasks arrive by request rather than by assignment, and you accept them because refusing introduces friction into a working relationship you value. Over a year that produces a job nobody designed. Ask for a written scope, or write one yourself and circulate it. What you cannot do is decline case by case, because every individual case will always be reasonable.

You absorb the conflict so the work can continue

When two colleagues are at odds you carry the versions, soften the messages and keep the project moving. It is genuine skill and it puts the strain of a disagreement you are not part of into your body instead of theirs. Hand it back once. Let two people talk to each other directly and tolerate the mess; some of what you are preventing is a conversation they needed to have.

Your standard is set by whoever is nearby

How hard you work and how good you consider your output is calibrated against the people around you rather than against anything internal. Around excellence you are excellent and around indifference you drift, without noticing either. Choose colleagues deliberately for that reason. It is the single largest variable in your working life and it does not feel like a decision at the time.

The pleasant workspace is a working condition

You genuinely cannot concentrate somewhere ugly, noisy or badly arranged, and the effect on your output is measurable rather than aesthetic. Colleagues who can work anywhere find this indulgent. Fix what you can and say plainly that it affects your work, because framed as a preference it gets dismissed and framed as a condition it usually gets addressed.

The role that sits between two functions

You do your best work at the join: the person who makes two teams cooperate, the account manager, the coordinator whose job is really translation. That is a genuine speciality and it is chronically undertitled, because organisations struggle to describe it. Name what you actually do in outcome terms — projects that did not stall, relationships that survived — and get the title adjusted to match.

The workplace friendships are real ones

You form genuine attachments to colleagues rather than professional acquaintances, which makes the job far more pleasant and makes leaving one properly painful. Nothing about that needs correcting. Just maintain two or three of them deliberately after a move, since without a shared building they will otherwise dissolve within about six months and you will not notice until they have.

You are allowed to want the easier job

You will stay in a difficult arrangement because leaving would inconvenience people, and the arithmetic never includes your own hours. That is not loyalty, it is an unbalanced accounting. Put yourself in as a party with equal standing. A decision that is fair to everybody except you was never actually a fair decision.

Your rate should not be a conversation

Money discussions at work go badly for you because you will trade the number to keep the exchange comfortable, and the other side can usually tell. Take the negotiation out of the moment: state the figure in writing, in advance, and let the discomfort be handled by an email rather than by your face. It is the same number and you keep it.
