You observe your own interior from outside
Give an Aquarius Mercury the house of the Unconscious and you end up as an unusually good analyst of your own psychology and an unusually distant occupant of it. You can describe your patterns accurately, name the mechanism, and remain entirely unmoved by any of it.
The observations are correct. What is missing is any route from the accurate description back into the thing being described, and no amount of further observation supplies one.
Feeling arrives as information
Something happens, and what reaches you is a classification: this is grief, this is anger, this appears to be disappointment. The label arrives faster than the experience and frequently instead of it. Try the ungrammatical version — say what happened with no framework attached, out loud, to somebody. It is deeply uncomfortable and it is the only exercise that reaches the other side of this.
Solitude here is genuinely productive
Long uninterrupted stretches alone are where your best work happens: the model built, the problem restructured, the connection nobody else was near. That is not withdrawal and it should not be treated as something to correct. Protect it explicitly, and say to the people around you that it is work rather than mood, because it looks identical to both from outside.
The distance was installed early
Standing slightly outside your own experience is not a philosophical position, whatever you have told yourself; it started as a useful arrangement in circumstances that required it. That is worth knowing without needing to resolve it. The strategy was sound at the time and it is still running in situations that no longer call for anything of the kind.
Nobody has visited the interior
Your inner life is elaborate, coherent and completely unvisited, and you have generally concluded that it would not translate. Some of that is accurate and most of it is untested. Describe one part of it to one person, badly. The translation problem you are anticipating is real and considerably smaller than the isolation you are currently choosing over it.
You will notice the pattern and not the state
You can identify that your sleep has changed, your appetite has shifted and your output is down, and treat all three as data rather than as evidence that something is happening to you. The analysis is accurate and it substitutes for the response. Set a rule that connects them: three of these at once means acting, regardless of whether you have decided that anything is wrong.
Understanding it is not the same as living it
You have arrived at a genuinely accurate account of your own history, motives and patterns, and almost nothing has changed as a result. That gap is the actual work here and it is not reachable by more analysis, which is the only instrument you fully trust. Do one thing differently before you understand why. The order is deliberately the wrong way round and it is the one that functions.
They have to survive the disappearances
You go inward for stretches with no warning and no explanation available afterwards, and a partner has to be able to live through that without concluding anything about the relationship. Say early that it happens, what it is, and specifically what it is not. The people who can accommodate it are considerably more numerous than you assume, and not one of them can work it out unaided.
You are missing and nobody was told
You withdraw into a stretch of solitude without announcing it, because announcing it would be to make a claim on somebody's attention, and then the reconnection becomes awkward in proportion to how long it has been. Send one line at the start of the stretch. It removes the entire re-entry problem, which is the actual reason these periods run longer than you intended.
