Mars in Sagittarius in the 2nd House (House of Money)

Sagittarius says how Mars shows up; the 2nd House says it happens in money, possessions, self-worth. Put the two together and you have the placement as it sits on a chart.

The heat goes into what money can be turned into

Everything expansive in you gets aimed at resources, and then immediately at what resources can be converted into. Mars in Sagittarius in the 2nd house makes money a means rather than a holding, so it arrives in quantity and leaves in the direction of an experience.

The sign is why the relationship with it is loose and the house is why it is the whole subject. That combination produces genuinely good earning capacity and a persistent absence of reserve, since nothing in the arrangement contains any instruction to keep.

Belief converts to income surprisingly well

You can sell something you actually believe in, and the conviction does most of the work. That is a real commercial asset and it is entirely dependent on the belief being present. Work you find pointless will not pay you properly no matter how competent you are at it, which is a constraint worth planning around rather than overcoming.

Spent on going somewhere, not on owning things

Objects mean very little to you and experiences mean a great deal, so the money goes into trips, courses and things that happened rather than into anything with resale value. That is a defensible allocation. It does mean that after twenty good years there may be nothing visible to show, and that is worth deciding on deliberately rather than by default.

Something will turn up, and it usually has

Your financial confidence is not naive, it is based on a track record of things working out. The difficulty is that the record includes several occasions that were considerably closer than you now remember. Keep enough in reserve to cover the version where it does not turn up, sized at three months, and then continue exactly as you were.

The plan that exists only as a direction

You know roughly where the money is supposed to be heading and there is not a single figure anywhere in the account, which functions perfectly well until a decision requires you to compare two things. At that point the whole structure turns out to be a feeling. Write it down once, badly, with actual numbers in it. Precision is not the objective; having something a proposal can be checked against is the entire benefit.

Automate the part you will not do

Saving by intention has never worked for you and there is no reason to expect it to start. Move it before it arrives, at a level set once on a calm afternoon, and do not revisit the arrangement monthly. Your income is not the weakness in this system; the interval between receiving and spending is, and it can be removed mechanically.

Pitch the thing you would do anyway

You are persuasive in exact proportion to how much you believe what you are saying, which makes conviction a commercial input rather than a luxury. Choose what you sell on that basis. A well-paid role you privately find hollow will produce your worst work and, within about a year, your worst results.

Generous, and occasionally beyond your means

You pay for things happily and sometimes for things you should not have, because the gesture is the point and the arithmetic arrives later. That warmth is one of the best things about being with you. Set a figure in advance for the year, treat it as already gone, and be entirely generous inside it without ever checking.

Backing somebody because you believed them

You have lent or given to a relative on the strength of their enthusiasm, more than once, and the outcome has been mixed. The instinct is good and the assessment is the missing half. Ask what happens if it does not work, and listen to the answer rather than to the tone in which it is delivered.

The trip everybody talks about and you booked

Plans become real because you put money down before anybody else was ready, and your friends have had experiences they would not otherwise have had. It also means you carry the exposure when somebody drops out. Take the deposits up front, from everybody, as a rule rather than a request. Nobody minds a rule.
