It is convincing precisely because each item is plausible. Write the list down and mark what can actually be acted on, since the ones that cannot are the whole of the problem.
A standard nobody has been told about
You hold yourself to a level you have never described to anyone, and you fall short of it privately and regularly. Nobody else is applying it and nobody would recognise it. Help given without being traced

The small thing that will not leave you alone
You will carry a minor unresolved matter for months, checking it, revisiting it, letting it interrupt the night, long past the point where any action remains. Nothing about it is dramatic and it accumulates. Give one worry a decision and a date, because in this position it is the unresolved status rather than the matter itself that does the damage.
You have been auditing yourself since you were young
The habit of reviewing your own conduct started early and has never been switched off, and it is why you are dependable and why you are tired. Some of it belongs to somebody else's voice. Ask whose standard you are actually applying, because a good deal of it was installed rather than chosen.

Something in your own life has been kept entirely away from your family: a difficulty, a decision, a stretch of years described to them only in outline. You have managed it alone and competently. Tell one person the true version, since the concealment costs more each year and the protection it offers has long since stopped being needed.

Your assistance is often practical and remote: the research done for somebody, the arrangement made without being present, the useful message sent to a person you rarely see. It is genuine and it keeps you at arm's length. Turn up in person for one of them this year, since presence is the part of helping you consistently leave out.
