It is generous and it is unaccounted. Keep one thing that is not shared, since a person with no private resources cannot be generous by choice, only by habit.
You will try the unproven thing first
Faced with something not working physically, your instinct is the unconventional route: the new approach, the method nobody in your family would consider. Some of it has worked well. Half your household remedies came from somewhere nobody in your family would recognise. Keep the ordinary check running alongside, since your openness is an asset and it is not a substitute for the boring measurement.

The standard package of a good life has held very little appeal for you, and you have declined pieces of it that other people worked years for. That is genuine rather than contrarian. Say what you do want instead, in specific terms, since a life defined by refusals is difficult to build anything on.
