A household run on principles, not tradition
Your Venus wears Aquarius and works out of the 4th house, so your domestic life is organised by rules you arrived at rather than by rules you were handed. Who lives there, how the work is divided, what happens at the holidays: all of it was decided rather than inherited.
That takes more effort than simply continuing what was done before, and the result is a household that genuinely fits the people in it. It also means you have had to explain your arrangements to relatives more often than most people ever do.
Family is a category you assign
The people you treat as family are not necessarily the ones you are related to, and you make that distinction without much ceremony. It is one of the most generous things about you. Say the obligations out loud at some point, since chosen family that has never discussed its terms tends to discover them in the middle of a crisis.
Home doubles as a meeting place
Your house tends to become the venue: the group that meets there, the person staying temporarily, the project occupying a room. That openness is deliberate and it can leave you with nowhere in your own home that is only yours. Keep one space closed, since the ideal has a way of consuming the practical here.
What you were given, and did not repeat
You looked at how you were raised and decided against a good deal of it, on purpose and fairly young. That is a real act of judgement rather than a rejection. Look at what you kept as well, since the parts you carried forward without deciding are the ones most likely to be running unexamined.
Attached to the idea of home more than the address
You can move without much distress provided the arrangement comes with you: the people, the rules, the way of doing things. The building matters less to you than to almost anybody. Know that this is the mechanism, since it explains why a perfectly nice house can feel wrong when the arrangement inside it has changed.
The arrangement has to be designed, not assumed
Default domestic scripts do not fit you and you will resent them without quite identifying why. The remedy is explicit design: who does what, how much time apart, what the two of you actually want this to be. Have that conversation properly at the start, since you are not able to run on assumptions you did not agree to.
The household as a working argument
What you have built at home amounts to a demonstration that things can be arranged differently, and people who visit take something away from it whether or not anybody says so out loud. That is a quiet form of influence and it is more effective than argument. Wait to be asked how it works rather than explaining it unprompted, since the arrangement itself persuades far better than any account of it does.
Property, and the reluctance to be tied
Ownership appeals to you less than it does to almost everybody, because a mortgage is an obligation stretching decades ahead and obligations of that shape make you uneasy. The reluctance is real and it is worth costing out. Whatever you decide, decide it, since drifting has a price here that nobody quotes.
The people who live near you get included
Your household extends outward easily: neighbours who come in, friends with keys, the arrangement where several people look after each other. That is an unusual and genuinely valuable structure. Make one part of it explicit, since informal mutual support works beautifully until somebody needs it badly and nobody is sure whose job it is.
Irregular hours, and what they cost
Left to yourself your days develop no shape at all: late nights, meals whenever, sleep on no schedule. It suits your temperament and it costs your body more than you notice. Fix two anchors in the day, not a full routine, since two are achievable and a full routine has never once survived a fortnight.
