You did not accumulate a circle, you built one
The Taurus half of this belongs to a whole span of birth years and rebuilds things from the ground up; the eleventh house, decided by your birth hour, is what applies it to friendship, community and whatever you hope for.
You have not collected people. You have a small number of relationships that took years to form and have since survived everything, and they are not with the sort of people anybody would have predicted for you. That combination of slowness and strangeness is the whole subject here.
Nobody arrives quickly
New people take an unusually long time to move from acquaintance to anything else, and several perfectly good ones have given up during the interval. You are not being cautious in any conscious way; the process simply runs at that speed. Knowing it means you can tell somebody that it takes a while, which occasionally keeps them there.
A small circle is a real exposure
Having three or four people rather than thirty means that a death, a move or a falling out removes a substantial fraction of your social world at once. That is a genuine structural risk rather than a preference to be defended. Allowing one new person a year past the usual barrier is unglamorous insurance and it takes very little effort.
Read as unsociable, running on standards
People conclude that you are not much interested in company, and after a while they stop including you in things. What is actually happening is that you find shallow contact genuinely unrewarding and will not perform an enthusiasm you do not feel, which is a different matter entirely. That distinction is worth making out loud occasionally, since the alternative reading has almost certainly cost you invitations you would have accepted with pleasure.
Friendships nothing has managed to break
What builds here is rare in any life: relationships that have survived decades, distance, several changes of circumstance and at least one serious disagreement. Most people's do not. Saying to one of those people that you know what you have is worth doing, because it will never be assumed and neither of you is likely to raise it otherwise.
The same people, seen rarely
You can go a year without contact and pick up mid-sentence, and you regard that as the natural state of a friendship. Some of your people do not, and are quietly hurt by gaps you did not notice. Sending one message a year to each of them, with nothing attached, costs an hour and prevents most of the erosion you cannot otherwise see.
What you hope for has not changed much
Your idea of a good future has been broadly the same since you were young and is unusually concrete: a place, a way of living, particular people in it. Most people's ambitions get rewritten several times. Checking whether the current version is still what you want, rather than what you wanted at twenty, is worth an afternoon.
Work reaches you through people who have known you for years
Opportunities arrive from long acquaintances rather than from networking, and every attempt at the formal version has produced almost nothing. That is a pattern rather than a shortcoming. Treating the maintenance of a few old relationships as professional activity, and giving it the time you would give an application, matches how your working life actually operates.
The hopes you had for it have not been revised
What you want a relationship to become was decided a long time ago and has been running unexamined ever since, which is why a perfectly good partnership can leave you vaguely dissatisfied for reasons neither of you can locate. The picture may not still be yours. Writing down what you actually want it to look like now, before comparing it with anything, is a short exercise with an unusually large effect.
You will support your people materially
Money for the few people you count as yours moves without much calculation: the loan that was never repaid, the thing quietly covered, the help that was not discussed. It is a real expression of loyalty. Deciding an amount you are prepared to lose, in advance and per person, keeps the generosity intact and removes the version where it becomes a grievance.
