You did not tell anybody what you actually believe
You have never announced a position on any of the large questions, and people who have known you for twenty years would struggle to say what you actually think about a single one of them, or whether you think about them at all.
The Sagittarius half of this belongs to a whole span of birth years and refuses any finished account of things; the twelfth house, decided by your birth hour, is what keeps the refusing private. So there is a real search going on and it is conducted somewhere nobody has been invited.
The reading, the thinking, the going alone
There is a body of material you have worked through by yourself — books, ideas, places visited alone — that has almost no overlap with anything in your visible life. It is substantial and it is entirely unshared. That is not secrecy so much as never having found the moment or the person.
A search nobody else is in costs something
Working out how to live is difficult work and doing all of it alone means nothing gets tested against another mind, so a wrong turn can run for years. That is the actual risk here rather than loneliness. Finding one person who takes the same questions seriously is worth an active search, and it is not going to happen by accident.
People notice you go somewhere they cannot follow
You take yourself off — physically, or simply into something — with a regularity that the people around you have learned to expect and never understood. It reads as needing to get away from them. Saying where you go and what it is for, in a sentence, changes it from a rejection into a fact about you.
A route worked out without a guide
What accumulates over the years is a way of understanding things that you assembled yourself out of what you read, where you went and what happened to you, and that has never been checked against anybody else's version. It holds under pressure, which is the only test that matters. Setting it out in plain sentences, once, is worth the discomfort, because something that has to be reconstructed from scratch every time it is needed is doing less for you than it could.
You do not report anything until it is serious
Whatever is going on physically gets minimised, waited out and dealt with alone, largely because making a fuss offends something in you and because you would rather not be attended to. By the time anybody hears about it, it has usually been running for months. Setting a rule — anything that persists past a fortnight gets mentioned, regardless of how you feel about it — takes the judgement out of a decision you are structurally bad at making.
The question has been running your whole life
There is one large question you have never stopped working on, and it has quietly determined more of your choices than anything visible in your circumstances. Most people do not have one. Naming it explicitly, in a sentence, is worth doing, because a life organised around an unstated question looks from outside like a life organised around nothing.
You are the friend who vanishes and returns
You go absent for stretches with no explanation and reappear as though nothing had happened, and your people have adapted rather than understood. Some of them have quietly stopped expecting anything. Saying beforehand that you are going quiet, with a rough duration, costs one message and keeps the ones who would otherwise drift.
There is a part of you that is not in the relationship
However committed you are, something of yours stays outside the partnership and always will, and a partner who tries to reach it will find nothing there to take hold of. It is not withholding and it will feel like it. Naming it as a permanent feature, early, is far better than allowing somebody to conclude they have failed to earn access.
The work you care about is not the paid work
There is something you pursue in your own time that matters more to you than your paid occupation does, and almost nobody at work knows it exists. The arrangement has protected it from being spoiled. It has also meant that it never receives the resources or the seriousness it would need in order to become anything, and deciding whether that is genuinely what you want is a real question rather than a rhetorical one.
