You say little, and it lands hard
Scorpio water in the 3rd house means your ordinary speech carries more weight than you intend. You use few words, you do not decorate them, and people remember what you said months later. You need to be careful in casual conversation in a way that lighter talkers never do.
The advantage is that when you speak, rooms listen. The cost is that an offhand critical remark from you does damage entirely out of proportion to the thought behind it, and you will not find out for years.
You go past the surface within two questions
Small talk is genuinely difficult for you, not from shyness but because it feels like a waste of an encounter. Given the chance you ask the real question early, which some people find a relief and others experience as an intrusion. Read the response to the first one before asking the second, and let the ones who want the surface keep it.
What you notice and do not mention
You register what people are not saying: the hesitation, the changed subject, the fact that a story does not hold together. Almost none of it gets voiced. That accumulates into a very accurate private picture and a slightly lonely position, since you are frequently the only person in the room who knows what is going on.
Silence used as an answer
When you disapprove or disagree, you go quiet, and the quiet communicates unmistakably without committing you to anything. It is effective and it is not fair, because the other person is left responding to something you did not say. Use words for the important ones. The silence is a weapon you did not fully mean to draw.
The sentence you have been holding
There is something you have decided not to say, possibly for years, and it is doing more work in your relationships than anything you have said. Withholding it is a decision you renew daily without reviewing. Say it once, plainly, to the person concerned, and accept that the delivery will be worse than the version you have rehearsed.
The one who asks the question nobody asked
In meetings you can identify what is actually being avoided, and saying it is your highest-value contribution and your biggest political risk. Choose the moment rather than the wording. Raised once, calmly, at the right point in the discussion, that question makes your reputation; raised habitually at every meeting, it makes you the person who stops being invited to them.
Few conversations, all of them real
Your friendships are built on a small number of exchanges that went further than most people ever go, and you would rather have three of those a year than a hundred pleasant ones. That is a coherent preference. Just accept that light contact is how those friendships stay alive between the real conversations.
The things your family does not say
You are usually the one who knows what everybody is not talking about, often from childhood, and you have kept it. That knowledge is heavy and it is not yours alone to carry. Find one relative you can name it with, so that at least two people are holding the same accurate account.
The thing you decided not to say
Withheld words do not dissipate here; they keep working, usually as a tight throat and a mind that will not settle at night. The relief is delivery rather than resolution. Even saying it to somebody uninvolved changes the physical state, which tells you the pressure was in the holding rather than in the matter.
Using words rather than weather
You communicate a great deal through atmosphere and very little through statements, and the atmosphere is always understood and frequently misunderstood. The practice is converting one degree of that into plain speech each week. It is slow work, it feels exposing every time, and it is the single change that alters everything else in this placement. Start with something you are pleased about rather than something you object to.
