Pride meets the part you cannot manage
Sun in Leo lands in your 8th house, so your sense of yourself gets built in the arena nobody controls: loss, debt, deep attachment, the things that happen to you rather than by your decision. Performance is no use there. You need at least one relationship in which you are allowed to be unimpressive.
This is not a punishing placement so much as an unusual education. Most people meet these situations occasionally; you meet them repeatedly, and each time some of the display comes off and something more durable is left.
You are dignified in the situations that flatten others
Crisis brings out a genuine steadiness in you: the funeral you organise, the hospital corridor where you are the one still standing upright, the collapse in which you keep everybody together. It is not detachment; it is that your instinct under pressure is to be worth watching. Whatever the source, people are enormously glad you are there.
Generous with what is shared, and slow to ask
You will hand over money, time and access without much accounting, and you find it very hard to be on the receiving end. The imbalance is comfortable until the year you actually need something. Practise asking while the stakes are low, because a first request made in an emergency, by somebody with your pride, tends not to be made at all.
The humbling that turns out to be useful
Somewhere in this position there is an experience that removed your standing rather than adding to it: the public failure, the dependency, the thing you could not fix by being excellent. It is the most valuable event in the chart, because what survives it is yours rather than borrowed. Do not narrate it away. Tell it accurately when it is useful to somebody else.
Intensity that asks for the truth
In close bonds you want the unedited version and you can generally handle it, which makes you a rare confidant. What you find harder is offering your own unedited version, since the impressive account is always available. Give one person the plain one. It is the difference between being admired and being known, and only the second is any use at three in the morning.
Other people's money, handled generously
Joint accounts, investors, inheritance and debts owed between friends run warmer here than they should. You are open-handed and reluctant to chase what you are owed. Put the numbers in writing at the start, precisely so that your generosity does not have to be argued about later, and treat that document as the thing protecting the friendship.
All in, and it shows
Physical and emotional intensity are not separate departments for you, and when you are in, everyone can tell. That wholeheartedness is your gift and it makes withdrawal, when it comes, unmistakable and public. Say what has changed rather than letting the temperature do the talking, since your silences are considerably louder than you think.
Running on pride past the warning
You will keep performing through a stretch when you should have stopped, because appearing depleted is worse to you than being depleted. The recovery afterwards is longer than the effort saved. Set an external rule rather than trusting the judgement: a person who is allowed to tell you to stop, and a promise that you will listen to them.
What was left, and what it meant
Inheritance in your family is likely to carry meaning far beyond the money: who was favoured, what was said, what a house stood for. Separate the two conversations deliberately. Deal with the feelings with a person who is not a beneficiary, and with the assets on paper, and neither will contaminate the other.
What you hand on rather than what you hold
Standing accumulated in this house is not really yours to keep, since the department deals in what passes between people: money, obligation, position, the things that outlive an individual. The satisfying version is transferring it deliberately. Decide who gets what you have built and start the handover while you are still the one running it, because a transfer you supervise is worth more to everybody than one that has to be reconstructed later.
