There is a vantage point here and nobody knows you are on it
Point at it first, because it operates invisibly: a place slightly outside your own experience from which you observe what is happening to you as though it were a case. Aquarius on the trailing node in the House of the Unseen built that position early and it has been occupied ever since.
It grew up in this room because watching from a distance made the material survivable. The clarity is genuine and unusually early. What has never developed is any experience of being inside your own difficulty while it is going on.
Clear when everybody else has stopped
You can think straight during periods when everybody around you has stopped being able to, which means decisions you took in a crisis are usually sound and rarely regretted later on. That is a genuine asset and most people would trade a great deal to have it available. It has almost certainly kept several situations from becoming considerably worse than they turned out to be.
Under strain you step outside it
When something painful happens, your attention rises to the pattern: what kind of event this is, what it says about people, how it compares to the last one. The framing is nearly always accurate and it arrives a beat before the reaction. Whole experiences have been catalogued rather than had, and the cataloguing looks exactly like coping.
Nothing has been felt at the time
The cost is a backlog with no obvious form. Events were understood as they happened and processed nowhere, so what remains is a sense of distance from your own history rather than any specific unresolved thing. Nothing hurts and nothing quite belongs to you either, which is difficult to explain to anybody and easy to live with indefinitely.
Stop analysing it while it happens
Leo stands across from it, in the room where the week gets done, and the development is warm, particular and unironic. The move to retire is the live commentary. Next time something significant happens to you, stay inside it for an hour without categorising, comparing or explaining any part of it. The urge to rise above is precisely the thing being worked on.
No baseline was ever taken
Because you relate to your own state at a slight remove, you have very little sense of what ordinary feels like for you, which means a slow decline over several years would register as nothing much at all. There is no internal reference point to compare against. Get objective numbers taken once and keep them somewhere. A baseline on paper does the work that self-observation cannot do here.
Your circle is a set of case studies
You understand the people in your life with real precision — what drives them, where they will fail, what they are avoiding — and the understanding sits where affection would otherwise be. It is not a substitute they chose. Spend one evening with somebody without working anything out about them at all.
You have never asked for reassurance
Wanting to be told you are wanted strikes you as beneath a reasonable adult, so the request has never been made and the reassurance has therefore never arrived. Your partner would give it instantly and has no idea it is missing. Ask for it once, in plain words, and let the asking be undignified.
Difficult was filed as interesting
You handle professional trouble by converting it into a problem worth understanding, which produces good decisions and means the strain never registers with anybody, including you. Nobody offers support to a person who appears intrigued by their own situation. Say once that something is hard rather than that it is interesting, and let the sentence sit there unqualified.
You watched them from the perimeter
From young you observed your household rather than belonging to it, and the accuracy of that view is not in question. It was also the position from which no relationship can actually be conducted. Ask one relative a genuine question and take the answer at face value rather than as data about them.
