What you own has to be defensible to somebody
Both of these operate at once: you have clear taste, and you cannot buy anything without an imagined second opinion. Saturn in Libra in the 2nd house makes what you own answerable to somebody else's judgment, even when nobody is actually asking.
The 2nd house is your own resources; Libra weighs one thing against another and against other people. Saturn adds the requirement that the choice be justifiable. So purchases get compared, deferred, and made with an argument already prepared for a conversation that will not take place.
It comes due when you have to name a price
The test is stating what your work is worth directly to somebody's face, with them looking at you. Everything in your temperament wants to arrive at the figure jointly, by discussion, which is simply not how the transaction is structured. Name a number and then stop talking entirely. The silence that follows is unbearable for approximately four seconds and it is the whole of the technique.
Weighing looks like not knowing
You compare options thoroughly and out loud, which reads to other people as indecision about things you actually understand well. In commercial settings that costs you real money, since hesitation is priced. Do the comparing privately and arrive with the conclusion, because the reasoning is the part that undermines you rather than the answer.
The weight is the permanent comparison
Your sense of whether you have enough is not absolute; it is relative to the people around you, and it updates constantly. That means a good year in the wrong company registers as a bad one. Nothing about your actual position causes this. It is a measuring instrument that only reports differences.
A sense of value that is finally your own
What this builds, once the second opinion is retired, is real discrimination: knowing what things are worth to you specifically, independent of what they cost or what anyone else paid. That is not a common ability. It arrives at the point where you stop preparing a defence for choices nobody was going to challenge.
Your rate was set by looking sideways
You price your work by reference to what comparable people charge, which keeps you within the range and permanently in the lower half of it, since you correct downward when uncertain. The comparison is not the problem; the direction of the correction is. Set the next figure at the upper end of your own comparison and let the market disagree if it wants to.
Enough is defined by whoever you are standing next to
Your satisfaction with what you have tracks your surroundings rather than your actual circumstances, which is why moving into a wealthier group has on occasion left you feeling considerably poorer than you did before the improvement. That mechanism is worth naming precisely, because otherwise it will keep operating at every level you subsequently reach, indefinitely, and in exactly the same way each time.
Work that turns on judging what is fair
Negotiation, mediation, valuation, arbitration, pay and reward, anything where the deliverable is a defensible allocation — these are fields where your instinct for balance is the actual product. They also require you to hold a position against pressure, which is the part to prepare for rather than the part to worry about.
Splitting things evenly is a value, not a habit
You keep the financial side of a relationship scrupulously balanced, and imbalance genuinely bothers you regardless of who is ahead. Partners with a different approach can read the accounting as coldness. Explain that it is about fairness rather than about money, since without that explanation it is an easy thing to get wrong about you.
You are the one who works out the split
When a group has to divide a cost, the calculation lands on you, because you are trusted and because you would have done it in your head anyway. It is a small service performed constantly. Being appointed treasurer of every dinner is a role you can decline occasionally without anyone minding at all.
