Not rigid, only very slowly assembled
It is not that you refuse to change your mind. It is that what you believe took twenty years to arrive at and will not be revised by an afternoon's argument. Pluto in Taurus in the 9th house puts unmoving weight into conviction and the search for meaning.
One half of this is a question of when you were born and the other of what time of day. The Taurus setting belongs to a long run of birth years and describes none of you individually. The 9th house came from the clock, and it aims the fixity at belief and at where you go, which is why you return to the same places and hold the same positions while everybody else revises theirs.
The test is the conviction that no longer fits
Sooner or later something you have believed for a long time stops matching what you have seen, and revising it feels like dismantling a wall you built yourself. You will carry the mismatch for years rather than do the work. That gap is the actual subject here. Take one long-held position a year and examine it properly, since keeping it afterwards is what makes it genuinely yours.
How the slowness is misread
People take your reluctance to adopt a new idea as incuriosity, and it is nothing of the kind. You are waiting for the thing to prove itself, which is a different and considerably more demanding standard. Say that when it comes up. Unstated, the other explanation is the one that circulates and it follows you around for years.
Ideas arrive through the body
On the physical experience of a place rather than the idea of it. Travel means the food, the light, the way a building smells, and the ideas arrive through the body rather than through reading. That is why one month somewhere has changed you more than a decade of study, and why you keep going back to the same few places.
A belief that has been carried
What you hold, you have held through periods where it was inconvenient, and that gives it a weight that quick convictions do not have. People can hear the difference when you speak. Say what you actually believe out loud more often, since you have assumed it is obvious and it is not, and nobody can build on a position that was never stated.
The same question, worked on for decades
There is one matter you have been turning over since you were young, and you are still not finished with it, and you would probably say you have made very little progress. From outside, the persistence itself is remarkable. Write down where you have actually got to, since you have kept no record and are therefore unable to see any of the movement.
Teaching by doing it in front of people
You transmit what you know through demonstration and repetition rather than explanation, and anybody who learns from you learns it permanently and in their hands rather than their head. Formal instruction bores both of you within an hour. Arrange the teaching around the actual work, with somebody standing beside you, since that is the only format in which your knowledge has ever transferred to anyone.
The group you have belonged to for years
There is a congregation, a club, a field or a community you have been part of for a very long time, and much of your sense of the world comes from it. Belonging that long is rare and it also means the membership has never been reconsidered. Ask once whether you would join it today, and let a yes be a decision rather than an inheritance.
You kept what they believed, or replaced it once
Either you still hold what your family held, examined and endorsed, or you replaced it in a single decisive period and have not moved since. There is no gradual version in your history. Whichever it was, say the reasoning to somebody younger, because the conclusion has been visible for years and the argument behind it has not.
Familiar food, familiar bed, or nothing works
Away from your own routine your digestion and sleep both deteriorate within a couple of days, and no amount of interest in the place compensates for it. That is a system tuned for consistency rather than a failure of adventurousness. Carry two or three fixed elements with you when you travel, since keeping any part of the pattern intact does more than any amount of preparation.
