Who actually put you where you are
Who decided you should be in this position? Almost certainly somebody else, at least at the start. Pluto in Libra in the 10th house ties public standing to other people, so your career has advanced through relationships rather than through applications.
The Libra colouring came from the era rather than from you: Pluto crosses a sign over decades and everybody arriving in that window carries the same concern with balance. Your birth time placed it in the 10th house, and that is the individual half. It aims the balancing at your public role, which is why your professional life has been shaped more by who sponsored you than by what you decided.
The test is holding a position alone
Sooner or later you have to take a public stance without anybody standing beside you, and it will be considerably harder than the work itself. Your instinct will be to soften it until somebody agrees. Say the unsoftened version once, in a setting that matters, and find out that your standing survives being unaccompanied.
How the diplomacy is read
People find you reasonable and effective and they do not know what you actually think about the substance, because you have spent your career making other people's positions workable. Some of them assume you have no position. Say yours first in the next meeting rather than last, since going last has become a way of never having to declare.
Being assessed unfairly stays with you
On being fairly assessed. A recognition that goes to somebody who did less occupies you far longer than any workload, and you will not raise it because raising it would look like grievance. It accumulates instead and shows up as a gradual withdrawal that nobody can date. Say the small version at the time, in an ordinary voice.
A role you hold on your own terms
Positions obtained through somebody's sponsorship carry an unstated obligation, and you have been honouring several of those for years. Some have expired and nobody has told you. Work out which ones you would renew if the choice were fresh, since the obligations are otherwise permanent and they are quietly steering your career.
Promoted because nobody objected to you
At least one of your positions came to you because you were the candidate no faction could refuse, rather than because anybody chose you enthusiastically. That is a real route and it delivers the role without the mandate. Ask each side what they expect from you in the first month, since a compromise appointment is answerable to everybody and instructed by nobody.
You are everybody's acceptable candidate
When a group cannot agree on anybody, they agree on you, and you have been promoted more than once on that basis. It is a real asset and it means you arrive with everybody's expectations attached and nobody's mandate. Ask what each faction actually wants before you accept, since the compromise choice is the one held responsible by all sides.
You made it look effortless to them
Your relatives see the position and not the negotiation, the diplomacy or the years of managing people, so what you do is regarded as fortunate rather than as work. That reading has never been corrected. Describe one difficult episode in full to one of them, since a career made of relationships is invisible from outside and only you can make it visible.
Achievement measured against one person
There is somebody whose career you have been quietly tracking for years, and your sense of whether you are doing well is calculated in relation to theirs without any of it ever being said out loud. That comparison is not a measurement, it is a habit. Stop reading about them for six months and see what your assessment of your own position does.
Sunday evening arrives in the stomach
The approach of a working week you are dreading registers physically before you have admitted to dreading it, and it does so in appetite and in a tightness that lifts on Friday. That timing is the useful clue: the trigger is anticipation rather than workload. Track which days it arrives on for a month, since the pattern will name the situation faster than any amount of reflection.
