The structure has to hold before you believe it
Most people adopt a view and look for reasons afterwards. You will not commit to a position until the reasoning would survive being examined by somebody hostile. Pluto in Capricorn in the 9th house puts structure and consequence into belief itself.
Pluto crosses a sign slowly, so Capricorn is the shared half here, the tone of a long span of birth years rather than anything about you. Your birth time supplied the 9th house, which is the individual half. It aims the seriousness at doctrine, institutions and higher learning, which is why you have always been more interested in whether a system works than in whether it is inspiring.
The test is the institution that fails
At some point an organisation, a profession or an authority you trusted turns out to be hollow at the centre, and you see it before most people do. What follows is not cynicism but a long reconstruction of what you are prepared to rely on. That period is the actual work of this placement, and it takes years rather than months.
A belief has to oblige you to something
On what a belief obliges you to do. You are uninterested in positions that carry no consequence and you cannot hold one casually, so a conviction of yours changes your behaviour or you do not really have it. That is unusual and it means you adopt very few, and the ones you adopt are expensive.
How the caution reads
People find you closed to new ideas, and what is actually happening is that you are waiting for something to demonstrate it can bear weight. The distinction is invisible unless you state it. Say that you are slow rather than uninterested, since the other explanation is the one that circulates and it costs you invitations.
A framework that has been through something
What you eventually hold has survived contact with institutions failing and authorities turning out to be ordinary, and that gives it a durability quick convictions never acquire. Put it into a form somebody else can use, in writing, since you have assumed it is obvious and nobody else has done the twenty years of work behind it.
You end up setting the standard
Wherever you land you eventually become the person who defines what counts as done properly in your field or your organisation, and it happens without anybody appointing you. That is genuine authority and it has no title attached. Ask for the title, once, since the work is already being done and only the recognition is missing.
Respected, and rarely argued with
People take your positions seriously and mostly do not contest them, which is flattering and quietly costly, since you learn nothing from agreement. Ask somebody who disagrees with you to make their case properly, and hold your objections until they have finished. You will have to arrange this deliberately because nobody will volunteer.
You carried the family's standing outward
Your education or your position in the world was, for your relatives, evidence about the family rather than about you, and that framing was in place before you understood it. Some of your ambition has been performed on their behalf. Ask which part of the current plan is actually yours, and answer it in writing rather than in your head.
Where the two of you are going, in writing
You want a partnership with a direction that both of you have agreed to explicitly, and a relationship running on affection with no stated destination unsettles you in a way you find difficult to justify out loud. That is a legitimate need rather than a lack of romance. Put the next five years on paper together, since the conversation you keep postponing is the one that would actually settle you.
You keep going long after it is sensible
Studying, working towards a qualification or pursuing a long objective, you continue past the point where the effort is producing anything, because stopping requires a permission you do not issue. The back and sleep register it first. Set a review date at the beginning of any long undertaking, since inside one you have never found a reason to stop.
