What were you like at home as a child, before school and neighbours saw the edited version? Not calm. Pluto in Aries in the 4th house puts raw force into the private base, so the household is where your temperature was set and where it still runs hottest.
Pluto stays in one sign for a long run of birth years, so the Aries half is shared with a very large group and describes a period rather than you. Your birth time supplied the 4th house, and that is the individual half: the force is pointed at home, family and the inner foundation. It means the fight was not out in the world somewhere, it was in the rooms you lived in, and you were in it early.
The test was whether you could leave
At some stage you had to get out, physically or by ending a relationship with somebody there, and the leaving was not gradual. Everybody involved treated it as a rupture, including you. What it actually established was that you can survive without the base, which is the thing you needed to know and could not have been told.
Read as hard, running on early exposure
People who meet you assume you were toughened deliberately, or that you have always been like this. What happened is that a child had to hold a position in a house where holding a position was necessary. That is a different origin and it explains the part nobody expects, which is how much of your force is spent on protecting other people.
Where the heat still goes

Your colleagues would not recognise it. That concentration is not a character fault, it is the placement working exactly where it is placed, and it is manageable once you stop being surprised by it.
Build a base, not a fortification
What you construct tends to be defensible rather than comfortable: rules, boundaries, an arrangement designed so that nothing can be taken. The next version can be built for living in instead. Ask what you would want at home if nothing needed defending, and put one of those things in place this year, before you have finished feeling safe.
Somebody had to be the loud one
In that house the disagreement existed whether or not anyone named it, and you were the one who named it, usually at volume and usually alone. The others found the arrangement easier to live with and let you carry the noise. That division of labour has never been acknowledged by anybody. Ask one of them, once, what they remember of those years, because their account will be nothing like the one you have been holding.
Everything since has been built from scratch
You did not inherit a foundation, you assembled one, and that is why you have unusual confidence about starting over and unusual difficulty resting. The building itself became the safe activity. Notice when a new project is genuinely wanted and when it is the old refusal to sit still in a finished room, since from outside they are indistinguishable.
Home is not where you entertain
You are direct and available in public and surprisingly private about your own place, and few people are invited in casually. That is not unfriendliness, it is that the base is where you stop performing. Invite one person in this season anyway, since the rule was written under old conditions and has never been tested against current ones.
Rest does not arrive at the door
Your body does not stand down when you get home, because home was never the place where standing down was safe. Sleep is the first thing to show it. Give the transition a physical marker of some kind, done every time you arrive, since the nervous system responds to a repeated signal and does not respond to a decision.
Property means the exit exists
Owning where you live matters to you in a way that has nothing to do with the numbers: it means nobody can require you to leave. That is worth paying a premium for and it is worth knowing that is what you are paying for. Say it aloud in the next conversation about moving, because otherwise the argument will be conducted entirely in the wrong currency.
