Put a review date in the diary, when nothing is wrong, and treat it as an appointment rather than as something to be got through.
Move once while it is still your decision
Make one professional change from a position of strength rather than in response to something going wrong. What you are practising is voluntary movement, which is the capacity your temperament does not maintain and which every career eventually requires. Doing it once in good conditions makes the involuntary version survivable. A move made from strength is also negotiated from strength, which is the second and less obvious reason to do it that way.
Paid for the fact that it will be done
Your professional value is dependability at a standard, which is scarce and consistently underpriced because nothing visible happens when it is present. Quantify what you deliver rather than describing how you work, since the market pays for outcomes it can name and yours have never been named by anybody, including you. Reliability is priced properly only where somebody has recently been let down, which is worth remembering when you choose an employer.
A long unhappy stretch shows up as weight and weariness
You will endure an unsatisfactory professional situation for years without complaint, and the endurance registers physically rather than emotionally: heaviness, disrupted sleep, an appetite that has changed. Treat a persistent physical shift as information about the job rather than about yourself, since your temperament will not otherwise raise the question. A trusted person outside the organisation is the most reliable instrument here, since they will notice the change several months before you do.
You did what was expected and did it well
The household's idea of a solid life was probably taken up rather than rejected, and you made a good job of it. Whether it was ever chosen is a separate question, and it is worth asking once in plain terms. Continuing something deliberately is different from continuing it because nobody suggested otherwise. The answer may well be that you would have chosen it anyway, and that finding is worth having explicitly rather than assuming.

Maintain it deliberately rather than relying on it existing, since the connections were built by proximity and proximity ends when the job does. Something that will still be there afterwards
What you are actually building is permanence: an institution improved, a body of work, a set of standards that outlast your tenure. That ambition is unfashionable and considerably more satisfying than promotion. Name what you want to leave behind, since it will otherwise be assembled by accident out of whatever you happened to be doing.
