Two things are being counted here: money and range
A Sagittarius Moon in the 2nd house measures what you have by where it lets you go. A large balance attached to a fixed life registers as poverty, while a modest one with a ticket in it feels like plenty. You need your money to remain a means rather than becoming a position.
So possessions here stay deliberately light. You are the person who gives things away before a move, who is unsentimental about furniture, and who notices with faint alarm when the amount of stuff has begun to determine what is possible next.
Something usually does turn up, which is the problem
Your record supports the optimism: the work has appeared, the gap has closed, the thing you needed has arrived from an unexpected direction often enough to constitute evidence. That confidence is genuinely useful and it makes you brave in ways careful people are not. It also removes the pressure that would otherwise produce a plan, and the plan is what you are missing.
You spend on experience and rarely regret it
The trip, the course, the flight taken on short notice: these are where your money goes and they are worth what they cost, which is more than can be said for most spending. Nothing here needs reforming in principle. What needs adding is a separate account for them, funded on purpose, so the experience is not being paid for out of next month.
The detail is where it comes apart
Renewals nobody cancelled, the tax set aside late, the small thing that became expensive through inattention: the losses here are almost never big decisions and almost always neglected admin. You are not careless with large sums. Book one dull hour a month and treat it as the price of the freedom, since the alternative price is a great deal higher.
Fund the escape route rather than improvising it
Work out what a year of the life you actually want costs, and build towards that figure explicitly. Vague optimism about the future is not the same as an arrangement, and it tends to produce the same outcome as no plan at all. Given an actual target you become surprisingly disciplined, because the money is finally buying something you can picture.
Generous, optimistic and slightly overexposed
You lend readily, back people on instinct and assume the upside, and across a lifetime that has probably cost you real sums and gained you real friends. Keep the generosity and cap it: decide in advance what you can lose without consequence and treat anything above that as an investment requiring paperwork rather than as a favour requiring goodwill.
The one who did not stay for the house
Choices you made about money and place probably read as reckless to relatives who valued settling, and some of that judgement is still in the room at family gatherings. It was your judgement to make. What helps is explaining the reasoning once rather than defending the outcome repeatedly, and letting people who chose differently be right about their own lives.
Restlessness is the first sign of a thin position
Financial constraint here shows up as a body that will not settle, because what is being felt is confinement rather than shortage. You start pacing before you start calculating. The most effective response is usually the cheapest available version of an open horizon, since what needs relieving is the sense of being fixed in place, not the balance itself.
Underpricing the thing that comes easily
You give away expertise in conversation, teach for free, and quote low because the work was enjoyable, which confuses ease with low value. Charge for the outcome rather than for the effort. What people are buying is a perspective they cannot generate themselves, and the fact that it costs you little to produce is not their concern or a discount.
Deciding what enough actually looks like
Because more is always framed as more freedom, there is no natural stopping point here, and a life can be spent chasing the position that would finally permit the life. Describe the version you are aiming at in concrete terms: where, with whom, doing what, costing how much. Vague futures never arrive; specific ones frequently do.
