Most people join a group, you raise its temperature
A Leo Moon in the 11th house makes a circle into something. The gatherings happen properly, the achievements get celebrated, the newcomer is brought in and introduced, and a group with you in it has occasions rather than merely meetings.
That generosity is genuine and it has a quiet requirement attached. You need the circle to value you specifically rather than merely benefit from you, and a group that takes the warmth without ever returning it will sour on you faster than you expect.
You are loyal to your people in public
Friends are defended in rooms they are not in, their achievements are announced, and anybody who slights them acquires a difficulty. That is a rare kind of friendship to receive. It also means the circle carries some obligation to be worth it, which is a reasonable expectation and one you have never stated.
A cause has to have people in it
Abstract commitments do not hold you; a cause with faces attached does, and you will work for one considerably harder than for a principle. That is worth knowing when you choose what to give your time to, since the version that will keep you involved is the one where you know who benefits.
Feeling peripheral in your own circle is unbearable
An evening where the group formed around somebody else, a plan made without you, a gathering where nobody particularly noticed you arrived: these land far harder than the events themselves warrant. Say it rather than withdrawing, since withdrawal here reads to everybody else as indifference and produces exactly the outcome you fear.
Attend something as nobody in particular
Go to a gathering you did not organise, contribute nothing memorable, and leave without having been the reason it worked. What you are testing is whether belonging survives without a performance attached, which is the reassurance this arrangement has never actually collected and would be considerably steadier for having. Do it more than once, since the first attempt will be spent quietly assessing whether anybody noticed your restraint.
The group's occasions are yours
Birthdays happen, the leaving gift gets organised, somebody's difficult year is marked because you noticed: your circle has ceremonies because you supply them. That is real generosity and it becomes an expectation. Hand one occasion to somebody else this year and let it be done less well without correcting anything. What you are testing is whether the circle can hold its own shape, which is worth knowing before you need it to.
You want a partner the circle admires
How your people regard a partner matters to you considerably, and a relationship your friends are lukewarm about will be harder work than it should be. That is worth being honest about rather than denying. It is also worth checking, since a group's verdict says as much about the group as about the person.
The professional community should know your name
Your field is a social world as much as a technical one, and your standing in it comes from being visible and warm within it: the conference, the association, the people who remember meeting you. Invest in that deliberately, since it produces more opportunity for you than any additional qualification will. Turn up to the things where nothing is being decided, since that is where the warmth accumulates and where almost nobody bothers.
You want the future to be shared
The hopes that hold you involve other people being there for them: the thing built with somebody, the celebration with the circle present, the achievement that means something because it was witnessed. Ambition here is not solitary. Choose plans that keep people in them, since the private version will not sustain you.
You spend generously on the group
The round bought, the trip subsidised, the gift chosen properly: money moves outward from you towards the circle without much accounting, and it is one of the warmest things about you. Give it an explicit budget rather than a limit, since a fixed generous sum is far easier for you to keep than a rule about restraint.
