The figures go soft at the edges
The Pisces half of your Mercury runs the 2nd house, so your sense of your own resources is impressionistic rather than exact. You know roughly whether things are fine, and roughly is genuinely how you know it, without ever having looked at the actual balance.
The instinct is more accurate than it deserves to be. What it cannot do is see a slow drift, because nothing about a gradual decline registers as a moment worth noticing.
One system, and it has to be almost automatic
Detailed budgets fail here within a fortnight, not from carelessness but because sustained attention to numbers is genuinely against the grain. What works is a single structure that runs without you: money separated on arrival, one account for spending, nothing to track. Build it once, elaborately if you like, and then never manage it again. Complexity at setup is fine; complexity in daily operation is not.
Money arrives from the direction you were not watching
Your income has a history of coming through people rather than through plans: the introduction, the thing somebody remembered you for, the offer with no application attached. It looks like luck and it is mostly the return on years of being generous without keeping score. Treat that as a real economic strategy rather than an accident, and keep the relationships warm; they are the actual mechanism.
Giving without a record of it
You lend, cover, share and forget, and you would rather forget than be the sort of person who counts. It is genuinely a virtue and it becomes a hole when the same few people learn that nothing is ever mentioned again. You do not have to become a bookkeeper. Just say the amount out loud once at the time, which changes almost nothing for you and changes everything about how it is received.
What you are worth is not a countable thing
Your value has never been legible on a statement, and trying to measure it that way produces a number that feels untrue because it is. Comfort, imagination, the ability to make people feel understood — none of it appears in the accounts and all of it is why you are paid at all. Hold both. The bank balance is a fact about your circumstances, not a verdict on you.
Charging for something you would do anyway
The work you find easy is the work worth most, and its ease is exactly why you undercharge for it. If it costs you nothing it feels dishonest to invoice, which is a beautiful instinct and a poor pricing model. Set the rate by what it is worth to the person receiving it. Ask somebody else to name your number the first few times, because you will not.
Solid ground under a life that floats
The practice here is building a floor that does not need your attention to stay in place, so that the rest of you can go on being unstructured without consequence. It is not a betrayal of how you are made. It is what makes how you are made survivable. One automatic arrangement, set up on a good week, will carry you through a decade of not thinking about it.
You cannot say no to the person in front of you
Asked directly for money, you say yes, because refusing somebody's face is harder for you than the loss. The people who ask twice have noticed. Decide in advance what you give and to whom, and let the rule do the refusing — I have a fixed amount for this each month is true, kind, and does not require you to survive the moment on willpower.
You absorbed the household's unspoken worry
Whatever anxiety about money existed around you when you were small, you took it in whole and without explanation, because that is how absorption works for you. Some of what you feel about your own accounts was never about your accounts. Naming which is which does more for your finances than any change of behaviour, and it is a conversation rather than a calculation.
