Other charts fall for a person; you evaluate a fit
Most temperaments decide about somebody and then find reasons. You collect the evidence first. Mars in Virgo in the 7th house aims your precision at one-to-one relationships, so partnership becomes something you assess, maintain and continually adjust rather than something you fall into.
The sign is why the approach is analytical and the house is why it lands on a single person. That produces unusually well-run relationships and one persistent difficulty, which is that the same attention that keeps a bond working also keeps it under review.
The list you have never shown anybody
You know exactly what is not working: the specific habits, the recurring disappointments, the things you have decided to tolerate. It is accurate and mostly unvoiced, and the length of the unvoiced version is what makes the eventual conversation feel like an ambush. Raise items singly and early. A list delivered whole is not a conversation, it is a verdict.
Arguments won on evidence
In conflict you bring specifics: what was said, when, how many times. It is unanswerable and it converts a disagreement about feelings into a dispute about facts, which you will win and which settles nothing. Try leading with what you felt rather than with what occurred. It is a weaker case and a better conversation.
Help as the main channel
You look after a partner practically and continuously: the thing sorted before it was mentioned, the problem anticipated, the small daily upkeep of somebody else's life carried without discussion. That is substantial and it is not universally read as affection, particularly by somebody who wanted attention rather than assistance and cannot tell the difference from the outside. Ask which of the two they would rather have this week, and be prepared for the answer to make no practical sense to you at all.
Choosing somebody is not a project brief
There is a version of this where the partner is a set of characteristics being optimised, and the person inside it gradually stops being addressed. The signal is when you can list what would make them better and struggle to say what you actually enjoy about them. Answer the second question out loud, monthly.
Stop auditing for a fortnight
The assessment runs continuously in the background and a partner can feel it even when nothing is said, because your attention has a texture. Try two weeks with the evaluation formally suspended: nothing noted, nothing raised, no mental adjustment made. What you notice in that fortnight is more useful than anything the audit has produced in a year.
The other half of the partnership does the talking
In business pairings you take the substance and let somebody else take the room, which works well and leaves your contribution invisible to everybody outside. Get your name on the output and go to some of the meetings. The arrangement is efficient and it has consistently meant that the reputation attached to the joint work is not yours.
In-laws assessed on first acquaintance
You form an accurate and largely permanent view of a partner's family early, and you are usually right, and saying so has never once helped. Keep the assessment and act on it privately: manage the exposure, choose the visits, stay pleasant. What you observe is real and the observation is not something anybody in that family can receive.
The standard you would apply to a stranger
You are generous in your assessment of people you do not know well and severe about the ones closest in, including yourself, which is the reverse of how most temperaments run. The nearer somebody is, the more exacting the measurement gets. Try applying the stranger standard at home for a month, deliberately, and notice how much of the friction was produced by the measuring rather than by anything either of you did.
Joint accounts run properly, and slightly alone
You handle the shared finances because you are better at it, and after enough years the other person has no picture of the position at all. That is a risk to them and a burden on you that nobody agreed to. Do a quarterly review together, out loud, whether or not they are interested. Interest is not the point; visibility is.
