By the time anybody sees it, it has been through nine drafts
By the time anything of yours becomes visible it has been examined repeatedly by the only critic in the room. Mars in Virgo in the 12th house keeps both the effort and the standard out of view, so the work arrives finished and the process leaves no trace.
The sign supplies the exacting method and the house removes every witness to it. That produces unusually good private work and a specific hazard, which is that a standard with no external reference point drifts upward indefinitely and nothing ever meets it.
The critic has no opposition
Your internal assessment runs constantly and, being unobserved, is never corrected by anybody who could tell you it is wrong. So it becomes both harsher and less accurate over the years. Show one piece of unfinished work to one person annually. The point is not their opinion, it is the introduction of any external reading at all.
Help arranged so nobody knows
You sort other people's practical difficulties quietly: the form filled in, the problem chased down, the arrangement made and never mentioned. Whole situations have been resolved by you without the beneficiary knowing. It is genuinely generous and it also means you have never had to be thanked, which is the part you are avoiding.
Unobserved hours are the condition, not the preference
Being observed degrades your output badly. In a room where somebody could look over your shoulder you work slower, check more and produce less, and you will attribute that to your own inconsistency rather than to the arrangement. It is the arrangement. Negotiate for unobserved hours specifically and in writing, because this single variable accounts for more of the difference in what you produce than interest, effort or the difficulty of the task.
The unfinished pile
There is a set of things you started, took to a high standard and never released, because the release point is defined by a judge who does not accept anything. Set an arbitrary date on one of them and let it out at whatever state it is in. The world's response will be more moderate than the internal one, invariably.
The unspoken thing shows up in the body
Concern you have not said out loud comes out physically for you: sleep that will not settle, an unsettled stomach, tension held in one specific place. You will hunt for a physical cause and find nothing, and the absence of a cause is itself the finding. Ask what you have been quietly turning over. The answer is normally available within seconds and has simply never been requested aloud.
A record has to exist outside your own head
Everything you produce privately is undated, unattributed and unknown to anybody who might one day be asked what you are capable of. That is a problem for the next role rather than for this one, which is why it never becomes urgent. Keep a plain log with dates and outcomes, and send one thing per year to somebody who could vouch for it. Neither step requires you to promote anything.
The reservations you have never voiced
You keep a precise private account of what is not working and say almost none of it, on the grounds that most items are minor and mentioning them would be unkind. Individually you are right. Collectively it produces a partner who has no idea where they stand. Raise one small item a month, at a calm moment, so that the account never has to be presented whole.
Absorbing the practical load without comment
You handle a great deal of what your family needs and describe none of it, so the assumption is that these things take care of themselves. Nobody is being careless; there is no information. Report one item a year plainly, without a complaint attached. The reporting is what is missing, and it costs a sentence.
Finances managed alone, forever
Your money is handled privately, carefully, and has never been looked at by another competent person. Some of the conclusions you reached years ago have not been questioned since, and a few are probably wrong in ways an outsider would see immediately. Have it reviewed once. Not for advice, only so that a second set of eyes has been on it.
