Give this a group and it acquires a purpose
Give this arrangement a circle and it stops being merely social. Mars in Aquarius in the 11th house says the same thing twice: the sign works through collectives and the house is the collective, so friendship, community and shared cause are where your entire force is spent.
That is why a group with no point to it will not hold you for long, and why the ones you belong to end up organised around something. What you supply is not administration or warmth, it is the reason the thing exists, which is the part everybody assumes was always there.
Friends chosen on outlook rather than proximity
Your circle is assembled from people who see something the way you do, drawn from anywhere, with very little regard for convenience. It is a genuinely interesting set and none of it is local. Accept that maintaining it takes deliberate effort, and put the effort in rather than waiting for the friendships that happen by geography.
The cause treated as a design problem
What moves you is a structure that should not exist rather than a person in difficulty, and you will work on the rule, the process or the policy while somebody else does the direct help. Both are needed. Say which one you are doing, because a group expecting sympathy from you and getting a proposal will misread it entirely.
Energised, then quietly gone
You bring a group into motion and then, at the point where it becomes an institution with meetings and minutes, you are no longer really there, because the interesting problem has been solved and what remains is administration. That pattern has now repeated several times. Either stay through the dull stage once on purpose, or hand over properly and say you are doing it, since the silent fading is what people remember and it is the only avoidable part.
Loyal in a way nobody can see
Your commitment to people is genuine, understated and extremely easy to miss, because it takes the form of turning up when something serious happens rather than of any regular demonstrative warmth in between. From outside, that is indistinguishable from mild interest. Say it in words occasionally, plainly and at a moment when nothing is wrong, since the people around you have been working from a signal you have never actually sent.
A group has to be for something
Purely social gatherings with no purpose exhaust you and you have generally concluded that means you are bad at friendship. It means the format is wrong. Build your social life around doing things: the project, the shared interest, the thing being worked on. In that setting you are excellent company and nobody would describe you as detached.
What has the freedom actually made
Autonomy that is held and never spent turns into refusal with nothing on the other side of it, and the way to tell which one you have is to ask what got built. Answer it in one sentence each year: this is what the independence produced. The distinction between a contrarian and a founder is entirely in whether anything got finished.
The partner has to fit a life already in motion
Your commitments, causes and circle were in place before anybody arrived, and they are not going to be reduced to accommodate a relationship. That is worth stating rather than discovering. Somebody who wants to join in will thrive here; somebody who wanted to be the centre of it will find out slowly and painfully.
Backing a thing you believe should exist
You put money into projects on the grounds that they ought to be possible rather than on the grounds that they will return anything. Some of them changed something. Set an annual figure for that purpose, treat it as spent on the first of January, and back things inside it with no analysis at all.
The campaign that ate the year
When something matters you commit everything to it and register the cost roughly eight months afterwards, since none of the usual warning signals get through while the work is still interesting. Put an end date on any campaign at the moment you begin it, written down, and stop on that date whether or not the thing is finished. Somebody else can carry it for a fortnight.
