A cautious partner will not survive your appetite and neither of you will be at fault. Ask what they want in ten years, early, and listen to the geography of the answer.
You do not settle enough to recover

Bring back something they can use rather than something interesting, since the connection is repaired through the practical half rather than the philosophical one.
