People assume you are more senior than you are
A Capricorn Jupiter working out of the 1st house hands you an unusual amount of authority for nothing: strangers treat you as the person in charge, long before it was earned. Frivolous settings do not suit you. What this needs is somewhere the seriousness is doing actual work.
The advantage is that credibility arrives before evidence and rarely has to be argued for. What comes with it is a set of expectations you never agreed to, and an assumption that whatever you are carrying must be manageable because you are visibly carrying it.
Your manner conceals what it costs
Whatever is actually happening, you look composed, and the composure is genuine rather than performed. It is also the reason help never arrives. Nobody has ever looked at you and thought that somebody should ask. Say plainly when something is difficult, in one flat sentence with no apology attached, since your appearance is doing all the talking and it is saying the wrong thing.
Seriousness worn since childhood
You were the responsible one early, either by temperament or by circumstance, and the gravity you carry now was in place well before it was appropriate. It has been useful for most of your life. Notice that the conditions requiring it may have ended some time ago, since the reflex does not check whether it is still needed.
Appearing to need something is hard
Asking is the manoeuvre you have practised least, because your whole presentation is built on being the person other people ask. Nothing about that is going to change on its own. Make one direct request a month that has no justification attached to it, since the skill is genuinely trainable and you have never treated it as a skill.
You get better as the years go on
Unusually, this is a position that improves with time: what looked stiff at twenty reads as authority later, and the advantages compound rather than fade. That is worth knowing during the years when everybody around you appears to be enjoying themselves more. The ordering is different for you, and the second half of the curve is where you have always been going.
You are given responsibility before the title
Organisations hand you what matters and then take some years to formalise it, because you look reliable and you have never made an issue of the gap. The work arrives ahead of the pay every single time. Ask for the designation once the responsibility is established, since here the title lags permanently unless somebody raises it and nobody else is going to.
You are slow, and it reads as uninterested
Your interest builds over months and shows almost nothing on the surface until you have decided, by which point several people have concluded there was nothing there. That pace is not going to change and it can be described. Say early that you take a long time, since the sentence costs nothing and it keeps somebody in the room.
You dress and live below what you have
Nothing about your circumstances announces your position, partly from taste and partly because display strikes you as an invitation to be judged. It is a defensible policy with one cost: people price you by appearance and you have been underpaid because of it. Raise the register in the specific settings where somebody is deciding about you.
The standard was set by somebody you cannot name
The bar you are working to was not set by your employer, your family or anybody currently in the room, and you have never examined where it came from. It is doing an enormous amount of work in your life every single week. Ask whose voice it actually is, since a standard you did not choose is still a standard you are paying for.
You are respected before you are liked
People take you seriously immediately and warm to you slowly, and the second stage only happens with those who stay long enough to see it. That order costs you the ones who leave early. Say something unguarded in the first hour occasionally, since your reserve is being read as assessment and almost nobody waits it out.
