Trusted to provide, and it costs what it costs
Give a Cancer Jupiter the house of Home and both halves are pointing at the same thing: shelter, provision, belonging, the people at your table. Nothing here needs translating. What this needs is a limit on the number of people you can carry at once.
Traditional astrology counts Jupiter exalted in Cancer, meaning it operates here at its most characteristic. Schools differ on how much weight to give exaltation; this site reads it as a description of what comes easily, not as a promise of an easy life. What comes easily to you is being the one everybody can come to, and the bill for that is real.
A household that keeps taking people in
Over the years an unusual number of people have lived with you, stayed too long, or treated your address as a place to go when things collapsed. You rarely refuse and you rarely regret it either. Decide in advance how long is reasonable, and say the number when they arrive, since afterwards there is no moment at which it can be raised.
You carry the family further back than yourself
Something in you is attached to the generations before: the recipes, the stories, the photographs, the plot of ground, a sense of obligation to people you never met. That attachment is real material rather than sentiment. Record one of the old accounts properly this year, since you are currently the entire archive and nobody has told you so.
Leaving is the hard manoeuvre
Moving away costs you disproportionately and you have delayed or reversed at least one departure that made sense on paper. It is not weakness; the base is doing more work for you than it does for others. If you must go, take the household with you in some form, because the transplant fails when nothing familiar arrives with it.
The pot that forgets its own bowl
Everybody at your table gets fed and you are frequently the one still standing up. Nobody notices, because you have never once made it visible. Sit down and eat with them, literally and otherwise, since a household organised entirely around your capacity to provide will not learn to look after you until you stop for long enough to be looked after.
Home together is the whole proposal
What you actually want from a relationship is a shared household: the ordinary evening, the joint arrangement, somebody in the next room. Grand romance interests you far less than that. Say so early rather than performing enthusiasm for the other kind, because the person who wants the same thing will be relieved and the one who does not should know now.
Rest only works inside your own walls
You do not recover properly anywhere else: hotels, other people's spare rooms and holidays all leave you slightly unrestored however pleasant they happened to be. That is a genuine constraint rather than fussiness, and arguing with it has never worked. Plan the recovery days at home rather than away, and stop counting a holiday as though it were rest.
Your friends have become household members
The people you are closest to have keys, know where things are kept and turn up without arranging it, and that is exactly the arrangement you want. The narrowness is the cost: almost nobody new gets in. Invite one person into the house this year who has never been, because entry is the only membership test you have.
You became the centre earlier than expected
At some point the family reorganised itself around your house and your judgement, generally before you were ready and without a conversation. Everybody now assumes it. Ask one of them to take a defined part of it permanently, and be specific, because a general request for help produces sympathy rather than relief.
You stand between two generations at once
In practice you are the join between the people who raised you and the people you are raising, absorbing from one direction and providing in the other, frequently in the same week. That position is demanding and it is also where your particular authority comes from. Say to one of the older ones what you actually learned from them, since you are the person who carries it onward either way.
